Unique storyline and situation to navigate.

I really enjoy Jenny Hambley’s books! Her witty dialogues, character growth, and quality writing style all lends to this. Many other authors in this genre struggle with keeping all of the dialogue sounding era appropriate and not sounding American or too modern of speaking styles that give a jarring—pull you out of the story experience. Jenny’s books do not struggle in this area! I scored this book as a 4 out of 5 star. I very much liked this story, I just didn’t quite get moved emotionally or feel “thought provoked” over any aspect of the book for me to give the fifth star. However, this story was delightful, had a unique storyline, and I would definitely recommend it!

The right touch of humor

Well written characters and a good touch of humor. Sometimes when I read these summaries, I’m afraid that the characters will be miserable. Jenny always delivered here and did a great of breaking up the sadness with positivity and light. A heroine who is quite sensible makes this an even better read. Good clean regency is hard to come by!
