Anthea Sharp Does It Again

This is the third, and final book in Ms Sharp’s latest Darkwood series. The Red Priests have invaded Reign, and it’s up to Rose and her sister to save the kingdom. If that weren’t enough, Rose finally learns who her father is. As usual, Sharp’s current novel is full of twists and turns that will keep you glued to the story until the end.

Amy Landon does an incredible job as the narrator. I highly recommend this audiobook.

Magical

So much happens in the conclusion of this series. I really enjoyed listening to this series. The characters are great, they grow with each book. Several big revelations happen, a couple were very surprising. Will the Dark Wood survive? Read and find out!

More than five stars

This trilogy is truly amazing. I loved all the different types of relationships that are explored, including romantic relationships and family relationships. The series is packed with action, intrigue, sacrifice and a super creative and exciting type of magic. The way this author writes is really compelling, as she shows so much which makes the listener feel like they are there in the moment. The pacing is excellent and the word building is phenomenal. I loved watching these characters grow and I’m actually quite disappointed that the series is over. Hoping this author writes more soon!!

Red as Flame

This installment of the Darkwood Trilogy was beyond fantastic. Althea has brought the characters full circle.
Rose and Neeve have grown from step sisters to the best of friends. While her relationship with Thorn as grown to a blissful binding of souls.

Rose was blindsided with the arrival of the Red Priests and the declaration by Warder Celcio that Rose is his daughter and she chooses to come back with him to further her training, against her better judgement.

Rose returns to Raine for Neeve’s wedding and of course her love Thorn. Just as the ceremony ends, The red priest attack and Rose is betrayed yet again. Her powers manifest beyond what she could hope for and with Neeve’s help she defeats Warder Celico and finds her happing ending with Thorn.

I am leaving so much out of review , because I do not want to spoil this for other readers. Once you start reading or listening to Red as Flame, you will not want to put it down. You are sucked into the story and find yourself there with the characters.
