I enjoyed this Mpreg contemporary romance. It is a ex-friends to lovers trope and add in a dash of fire fighter.

Very Enjoyable

This is a beautifully written second chances mpreg story about Damien, an alpha firefighter and Tommy, an omega tattoo artist. Tommy returns home for a funeral and happens to get rescued by Damien when the hotel he's staying at catches fire. After 10 years apart they have a second chance to figure out what happened in the past so they can move towards the future. When Tommy gets pregnant it's more crucial that they figure out what they want. I really enjoyed this book and was glad Damien and Tommy got their happy ending.
Narrator Barney Parkwynne does a fabulous job.

Another awesome story

I love everything by Austin Bates and this is no exception. The misunderstanding 10 years ago kept our MCs apart and they take quite the roller coaster ride on the way to their HEA. I did have a slight issue with the narration....I found the narrator was a little slow in the storytelling and I didn’t feel the passion I did with other narrators. But it was definitely worth a listen

Amazing

I loved this romance adventure with the hot alpha firefighter Damien and his best friend who had a big crush on him when they were in school Tommy . When Damien saves Tommy from a burning building the attraction sky rocketed and one night turns into forever. Loved there story.

An unlikely pair

I loved this book more because of the unlikely pair, the second chances definitely had me and I enjoyed how the two tried their best to figure out how to make things work now. Being 10 years older definitely helped them.

What am emotion packed story!!! Both main characters frustrated the life out of me and I could have shaken them until their teeth rattled! My head kept spinning from one blunder to the next. Adulting much???? All the biases and prejudices were enough to brimg a strong man to his knees!!! Time and healing helps and maybe a dose of fate for good measure, helps healing and moving forward to build a family. I liked the compromises and growth. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest. The narrator did a great job with voices and expressions.

An interesting story about finding what you once thought you lost. Tommy and Damien were best friends in school until one day when it all fell apart. Ever since that day the men have led separate lives until a fire brings them together once more. The two men find their lives crossing again but can they let the past go and stop it from defining them?

Damien and Tommy have a painful past and it pulls on your heartstrings when you find out just what it is. The two have such strong and different personalities yet they work well together. It was nice to see the way their relationship takes shape. No matter how hard they try to ignore it their attraction is not going away. Their story is full of emotions and has its ups and downs. While the two try and figure things out there are twists and turns to their story which keep the listener engaged. Their story was a bit dragged out for me; it seems like the book could have been tightened up a bit. Narrator Barney Parkwynne moves the story along nicely bur I had a tough time with some of his inflictions on the end of certain words.

I like second chance stories, but this one is a doozy. Damien, an alpha firefighter and Tommy, an omega tattoo artist start off best friends turned boyfriends torn apart by a misunderstanding that last 10 years.
Not my favorite narration, but it was ok

It's Okay...

This is the first book I have listen or read by this author. I thought the story was okay. Maybe it was the narrator; I'm not sure. I've only listened to one other story with this narrator, and I've noticed that there isn't much distinction between the characters. It makes it difficult for me to follow the story, and it makes it less enjoyable.

Loved the story!

I loved the story. Damian had a crush on Tommy in high school and were boyfriends for a time. But they separated because of a misunderstanding. They meet again 10 yrs later. But the narration was lacking for me personally, which is unusual.
