Good Christian fiction

Interesting story with quite a bit of action. Story of another era. Suspend disbelief and ignore social norm requirements like identification cards to travel. The story is interesting and I look forward to seeing where the characters go from here. I’m frustrated by the little things that would make it more believable.

A story for yesterday and today

This was an excellent bit of Christian fiction. This book is for anyone who enjoys a good story with interesting well thought out characters, Interesting story, who enjoy action and faith in their stories. If someone cannot overlook a story, heavily inspired by belief and faith in this book may not be for them. this is one of the few books, where the time traveling aspect of the story truly works as in the story bounces around the timeline. it seems obvious that many aspects explored in the story are not only well thought out but very well. Understood, and researched. One criticism I could levy against it is that it is unclear how the story will proceed. The book is called record of Oliver. and his story clearly isn’t finished. Aside from that the audio performance was fantastic. Both male and female voices were narrated quite well, and the accents were not only decent, but worry, highlight of the narration. oh, now, back to the story as a believer myself, I always ponder how much of my story to base on my faith. My highest praise I will give the story is that it is one of the best examples of a fantasy style story that delves heavily into Christianity add succeed as a faith story, and as a story separate from that. Mr. McCoppin may become the next, Ted Dekker in the literary world if his books are given an appropriate amount of attention, and I mean that sincerely compliment. in essence, buy the book.

Action and Adventure for Christian folks!

Author BP McCoppin has written a story that the Christian fiction section needed. This is an action packed thrill ride of a story, rife with demons, shootouts, and more than a little adventure. All from the lens of a god fearing Catholic man.

Oliver is a warrior priest incarnate and a total beast at that. In his youth he traveled the world with his father doing everything from walking where Jesus once walked to training with martial arts masters all over the world. Now he uses his skills and experience as a force for good, slaying evil in the name of God.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On a scale of buy or don't buy, this book is a BUY IT NOW! You won't regret it.

Action, adventure, and faithful heroes.

Amazing pacing. Incredible story. A true pleasure. This is a relaxing and engaging story that pulls me back time and time again.

The voices are vivid and detailed.

The Good, the Bad, and the Weird

The Good (stuff I liked):

-Dynamic prose
-Interesting world building
-Engaging action

The Bad (stuff I didn't):

-Clunky dialogue
-Disjointed narrative
-Lack of resolution

The Weird (neither positive nor negative, but prominent enough to bear noting)

-Author values and beliefs center stage (not a judgement on those values, just noting that Christian values take a prominent role in the story and are objectively correct)

Overall: Not my favorite, but looking forward to the next one and seeing the author grow

Sort of like a Christian Kingdom Hearts

I remember when I was a kid and I was playing Kingdom Hearts for the first time. I was in Merlin's Burrow and I entered the Winnie The Pooh storybook for the first time. And it was too corny. And I had the choice: I could either embrace the corniness or I could stop playing. So I went ahead and embraced the corniness and had an enjoyable experience after that.

I remembered this experience by the third chapter or so of this book. The Christian Mythos is a firm aspect of this book, and the characters have some conversations that don't usually make it into the storybooks. Conversations that might be considered awkward. Just embrace it, and you may enjoy it.

The book is interwoven between coming of age chapters and action adventure chapters. I enjoyed the action adventure chapters well enough, but I didn't care for the coming of age chapters. Didn't care to the point of not finishing the book.

Otherwise, decent. Roland could have had more varied and creative lines. If you are looking for a heavily Christian coming of age / action-adventure story this might be the book for you.
