Publisher's summary

A recipe for love:

One cup of homespun country farmer.
Two dollops of hotshot city chef.
A sprinkle of funky little restaurant.
Increase the heat until romance sizzles.

Hannah Little doesn’t have much use for fancy chefs or fancy restaurants, but that’s exactly what Three Willows Farm needs to survive. When a local restaurant wants to feature her produce, she’s thrilled. But the contract means working with an egotistical and (let’s face it) drop-dead-gorgeous head chef from New York City.

Chef Drew Davis can’t wait to run her own kitchen. If taking a job at some trendy farm-to-table restaurant in the middle of nowheresville will get her there faster, she’s on board. She has no intention of staying though, and that means the feisty farmer who keeps trying to tell her how to do her job can’t be anything more than a pleasant distraction.

Fun foodie romance

I defintely enjoyed this listen. My favorite Lori Prince narration to date. My first read written by Aurora Rey and I really enjoyed it. The storyline was great and the characters were good. I nornally fast forwardor skip over most sex scenes in audio, but these were written and narrated so well that I never had the urge to skip over it. Very enjoyable read and listen. Will definitely look for more by Rey.

A RECIPE FOR LOVE

Can a country girl and a city girl make a go if it. As they meet one might so noway. Drew a city Chef and Hannah a farm owner do not exactly see eye to eye on things. Read this well written novel to see how things work out for the two of them. Hope you enjoy as much as I did. Listened to the audio version.

Perfectly Balanced

Sweet love story with unique plot & likable characters without being overly cheesy or cringeworthy. It has the perfect balance of charming, realistic/believable, & THANKFULLY scorching hot. And it’s done consistently. It follows typical romance formulas with slight (but surmountable) drama before the inevitable HEA is delivered...yet it hits all the right spots, for me personally at least, when it comes to what makes a fave from a forgettable.

I hate when MC’s spend literally the entire book building up their connection & the author makes us wait til the last 5 mins to finally see them united. And then ending the story with an obligatory sex scene that usually falls completely flat or is rushed before skipping forward X amount of months/years in the epilogue where they’re suddenly married with children. As a reader it makes me feel like I’ve been forced to deal with all the angst & none of the joy/relief that comes with union. We’re completely left out of the reward of experiencing the relationship moving to the next level even though we’ve invested in the connection being built up til that point. Sigh. Maybe it’s just a pet peeve of mine & I’ve read way too many romance novels to the point that I’m super annoyed by how many are written the same exact way lol

Anyway, Lori Prince did awesome job narrating as well. This one is a keeper & worth the credit to add to your library if you happen to be anything like me :)

A real farm to table experience

I am admit to being a food addict, ex chef, ex farmer so was very interested in listening to this audio. I related so much to the growing of the food, the slow food movement, designing menu's around that, promoting ones business, food prep, staff issues, seasonal changes in produce, importance of family and that love of both can combine way past the kitchen or paddock. So well narrated by Lori, some of the terms/words used were new to me like the use of dude but then I guess that is pretty similar to close friends here in Oz calling each other mate. I enjoyed the story line it was one of growth, holding dreams close yet being open enough to realise new directions need not be a bad thing.

A story as love brings changes in life goals

Hanna raises fresh vegetables and fruits her passion for farming is huge. Chef Drew wants to run her own kitchen and being the lead Chef for The Fig is the next step in her ladder. Meeting Hanna and living in the laid back small community gives rise to a different way of seeing that ladder. I love how they finally give into the lust and love they feel throughout the story. I dislike the last few chapters where they breakup because they can't talk about how they feel but helping Hanna brings all the feelings to the surface in the very last chapters so they can see, share their hearts. The farm to table concept is beautiful. A chef who creates in this eco- friendly menus is fabulous. The story is sweet and a Nana that is so wish adds to the gift of family!

County Mouse and City Mouse

Hannah Little runs a farm operation that supplies fresh produce to a restaurant in town and residents who pick their own or buy from her stand. Chef Drew Davis has just been hired to manage the restaurant and is drop dead gorgeous. A slow burn sizzling romance.

Perfect sappy love story except 1 thing.

It was a cute, somewhat cheesy wlw love story and I always enjoy Lori Prince as a narrator. My only complaint is the sex scenes, I don’t mind an occasional descriptive scene and it may have been the word choice, but it took me out of the story. Otherwise cute.
