Awesome Second Chance!

OMG!!! I absolutely loved this story. Like Chase’s story, I was looking forward to Cynthia's. Ms. Lowe outdid herself with this fifth and final book in Aloha Shifters: Pearls of Desire. We found out more about Cynthia, Cal and Joey’s father and how they are intertwined. There are some surprises in this book and Joey's father is one of them. When Cal arrived, Cynthia softened. She always seemed like a harda$$ around the other shifters. I also loved Cynthia and Cal's inner dialogue that each other could hear. Little Joey was adorable even during the fight scenes. Such a determined little guy. During those scenes, it was so suspenseful. It was great and, of course, I was rooting for the good guys. So much happens during this book. I am sorry to see this series come to an end. I loved the ending but would love to hear more about each of these shifters. After listening to the entire series, I feel like I am part of their shifter family. Great job by Kelsey Osborne with the narration. She clearly differentiated the characters and there where many characters in this book. I couldn't recommend this series highly enough. You will not be disappointed. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This story is full of desire

Book 5 in the series . The main characters are the wolf and a dragon . The dragon is an alpha dragon , Cynthia, who is in hiding , from her cousin , Moria , who has been after her for a long while . And the Wolf who is a wolf , Cal , who has sworn to protect Cynthia no matter what. Cal is an Aloha Wolf , but he doesn’t feel like belonging to a pack .
The goddess played a cruel joke on Cynthia and Cal, even thought they are destined mates , one true love , Cynthia had to marry an older dragon . And Cynthia has a child .
Cal tracks Cynthia .down in Hawaii, her last name has changed , she’s also surrounded by the other shifters in the previous stories , Cal has found out who Moria has teamed up with to take Cynthia down. Cal has to convince Silas the dragon alpha that he will never hurt Cynthia . Grab it and see who else is after Cynthia. Do the evil dragons track Cynthia down ?

Kelsey Osborne Performance is fantastic as always. She did justice to this one and the rest of the series

Love these Books

Mrs. Lowe has done it again, I absolutely love this book and series. I have been waiting a long time to finally get to read Cynthia's story and Anna did not disappoint. Cynthia's and Cal's Story has everything you can want in a romance. Plus a little danger and evil to make thing interesting. The narrator did a great job telling this story.

Pearl of Desire series

This series was by far the best one so far. It was great to know the characters from the previous stories. If you like HEA endings you won't be disappointed. Meet all the characters first by reading the other series first, it's hard to come into the history in the middle. Fun story, good relationships.

Cynthia's Turn!

Oh my gosh! We finally get a chance to see a different side of cynthia and read (listen) about her chance to have a happy ending.

Danger is coming... ...and a certain bike riding shifter too. Only, he just might be the very thing they need for the win in this battle. Loved every minute of this read.

Lost Love

I've been waiting for Cynthia's story. She's always seems to have a wall up to hide the sadness. Once again, Anna Lowe didn't disappoint. Joey gets more personality in this story too. if you liked the other books in the series, you'll live this one.

Epic

An epic ending to the pearls of desire. A second chance romance that will have your heart swooning and the final battle is wow worthy. I received a complimentary audio and this review is voluntary.

Fantastic Conclusion

I really enjoyed this story. Hearing how Cynthia reunited with her destined mate, Cal was a perfect ending to this series. I love how great he was with Joey. It's obviously he loved the boy as much as Cynthia. The rest of the crew's reaction to Cal was pretty awesome as well. I love how it divided along gender lines.

I'm really enjoying Kelsey Osborne's narration. She's improved her skills with each book.

I'm looking forward to the new series!

I love this series! I feel I have so much invested in these characters. Extremely well written and full of action. Listening to the story gives you a different perspective.

old flames, mates, and evil lurking in the shadows

Absolutely fantastic, I knew I'd enjoy this book but it still surprised me more. Cynthia's story is my favourite, seeing her in a new light. She's always so poised and rarely shows her emotions, but in this one we see her weaknesses as well as her strengths. Cal is an interesting character, he's perfectly suited to Cynthia. The storyline is extremely well written and pulls you in immediately, but I have to say Joey steals the limelight in this. That incredibly brave boy made my heart jump into my mouth many times, metaphorically speaking of course. The ending was bittersweet and beautiful, tying all of the main characters stories. My favourite thing about this authors books is characters from other series showing up, without spoiling anything i won't name those who showed up. I highly recommend reading this series, it will warm your heart and give you many hours of laughs.

A fiery end to the series

Rebel Alpha is the fifth (and last) book in the Aloha Shifters: Pearls of Desire series. Set on the tropical island of Maui, this book follows Cynthia and Cal’s second chance at love. Throughout this series, Cynthia has been growing on me as her serious demeanour has gradually thawed. Cal has loved Cynthia from the moment he met her, and he has been protecting Cynthia for years without her knowledge. Cynthia and Cal are perfect for each other, and in this book they finally get their HEA.

Captivating storyline, complex characters and fabulous narration.

Gutted it’s over

Book 5 and last book in Pearls of Desire series by Anna Lowe
I’m absolutely gutted I’ve finished this series even though I loved previous series this is my favourite especially with Joey and Cynthia.
Cynthia is a posh Dragon with dark secrets everyone knows her by second name Brown but everyone also knows that isn’t her name and she comes from an old wealthy dragon line. Joey is her adorable son that Cynthia is desperately trying to raise in a happy childhood but also to keep him safe.
I love the prequel book 4.5 rebel heart to this book it give this one so much background and a look into a layback Cynthia.
Love how the bad guy gets it in this book. I won’t give too much away but it’s spectacular. Fantastic narration as always by Kelsey Osborne. I hope we get to meet Joey again in another book love his character.

The Conclusion - I'm Sad To See It End

This story starts where the prequel about Cal and Cynthia left off but if you haven't read Rebel Heart don't worry you will have no trouble picking up the story. It also brings to an end my favorite series of shifter stories ever!

So far in this series, Cynthia has been an aloof and commanding figure, she's co-alpha, she's rigid and strict and although she has mellowed a little during the previous books her history has remained a secret known only to Silas the dragon shifter who brought this group together to help guard his own shifter pack and family.

But in this book, we learn that Cynthia has a heart and that for twelve long years she has pinned for her destined mate Cal after being forced to give him up and marry Barnaby for the honour of her royal bloodline. We've always known that she would die for her son Joey but she never seemed to mourn the loss of her husband Barnaby, at least not openly, in this wonderfully crafted story we find out what made her the way she is and watch as she struggles to become so much more.

Cal is a lone wolf, he's an alpha wolf without a pack, he's totally alone in the world. The reason for this is that some twelve years ago he met and fell in love with his destined mate Cynthia Beard, but she chose family duty, over their love/bond. Why? because she was a dragon, the highest level of shifter, not only that she was the last of her royal line which also happened to be one of the oldest and most respected dragon bloodlines. But for the last two years, his mate has been a widow, with a son and they both need his protection and he is going to step up and provide it! Will his mate accept him back into her life? Will her pack accept him into their midst? Will they be able to defeat the enemy who is coming?

As this is the final book in the series there is a lot happening lots of loose ends to be tied off and lots of questions answered. Moria, Cynthia's cousin, who has featured so much in this series and the previous one finally makes her move against all the shifters in an attempt to take over the wealth which belongs to Cynthia by killing her and taking her innocent son Joey. But Moria doesn't come alone, she brings with her a new threat in the form of more dragons this time from Europe together with a whole bunch of mercenaries. Will the shifters we have come to know and love be able to defeat their enemies? Will Cal be accepted by Cynthia? How will Joey take to having to share his mother's love if she does? How will the members of her pack take to a new loan wolf in their midst?

There is so much more I want to say that but would involve spoilers and I don't want to do that so all I can say is this book is beautifully crafted, the writing style is excellent and the action and chemistry had me holding my breath! I absolutely adored it!

This book is narrated by the very talented Kelsey Osborne who has narrated all the books in this and series and the Jewels of The Heart series. Kelsey's feel for the books and the characters who live within their pages is excellent and her narration could not be improved upon.

Now that the final full stop has been written I feel at a loss like I've lost a group of friends. But I would not have missed this journey for the world.
