Publisher's Summary

The first book in a new multibook series from New York Times best-selling author Colleen Houck about a teenage girl entangled in an epic Egyptian quest full of romance, adventure, and mythology!

When 17-year-old Lilliana Young enters the Metropolitan Museum of Art one morning during spring break, the last thing she expects to find is a live Egyptian prince with godlike powers who has been reawakened after 1,000 years of mummification. And she really can't imagine being chosen to aid him in an epic quest that will lead them across the globe. But fate has taken hold of Lily, and she, along with her sun prince, Amon, must travel to the Valley of the Kings, raise his brothers, and stop an evil, shape-shifting god named Seth from taking over the world. From New York Times best-selling author Colleen Houck comes an epic adventure about two star-crossed teens who must battle mythical forces and ancient curses on a journey with more twists and turns than the Nile itself.

ReAwakened - My Love of YA

After awhile, these books tend to have the same timeline in a plot series, this book breaks that completely. I was utterly compelled to finish this story, not because of its current wit and quippy sayings, nor because of the love element ( which also was very realistic ) but rather because of the on going suspense and non-typical outcomes. It takes a lot to touch my heart, with YA tales, and this one holds my Heart Scarab completely !!

Amazing

I wish the reader did better at betraying each character as the reader for tigers curse did.
The book was amazing. Can't wait till next one.

I so wanted to like this book.

I felt like I was rereading g 'Tiger's Curse" (which I loved, but not enough to read it again) only set in Egypt. I didn't like the main characters, and that makes or breaks a story for me.

I love the emotion

I love the story. Colleen Houck does a phenomenal job and the reading was done with great emotional thought. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good story complete with romance, danger and mythological history.

It'a okay

Well, I was expecting something more interesting, since, in my opinion, the author did a great job with the Tiger's curse series. However, I found this book with few references to Egyptian mythology, and very boring in the early chapters. The book gets better later, but I was a little disappointed anyway.

Can’t believe how bad the narration is

Tigers Curse is one of my all time favorite audible series. I have read the books and listened to the series no less than 5 times. I was so very pleased to see the new series come on line and having always been a fan of Egyptian mythology, I was excited to dig in. Wow, what an utter disappointment. I am only 4 chapters in, but I can’t take it anymore. The narration is awful- empty, lifeless, and childish. I quite literally cannot even hear the story through the simpering female voice and her failed attempt at a male Egyptian “Adonis”, sounding like an obnoxious eight year old American boy.

I can’t bear to listen long enough to get to the other narrator. I’m returning this failure and will read the hard copy.

What a pity. Where are Annika Boras and Neil Shah? Both were masterful with Tigers Curse and turned a great story into an Epic Listening experience. Consider re-recording the series with a better narrator- this one is breaking the story.

Excellent

Loved it. It was just as amazing as her prior books. It is refreshing to read series not overwhelmed by sexual situations.
