Publisher's summary

In a time of desperate measures, the Queen of the most powerful city in Edenocht threw the world into a fallen and broken state in an attempt to destroy the most powerful Necromancer the world has ever seen.

The once magically enhanced world is no more and the elemental beings that once inhabited it are gone. The only thing strong enough to bring it back is the ancient artifacts of the Sev-Rin-Ac-Lavah and the only one strong enough to use them is The War Wizard.

Edenochts only hope is a War Wizard, but none have been born in a millennium, until now. Hidden from the Necromancer in a time realm not his own, the future of the world resides in a barely grown man’s destiny. The War Wizards protectors did the best they could to prepare him without the use and teaching of his magic and Shaz must now quickly learn his true potential and battle the evils of the shadow world.

As a being which hold all the elements and the dreaded shadow magic, Shaz must find the descendants of the ancient magical races and the artifacts before the Necromancer does and the world of Edenocht’s future succumbs to the evil Shadow.

Excellent, we'll developed and fun!

Loved it! I really enjoyed the story and the characters won my heart instantly. Well developed and real. I'm a fan of action adventure and fantasy and this book was certainly both with fast pace action as well as a unique fantasy world fitting to a war wizard. it had a little D&D flare with a bit of Robin Hood and lots of new characters.

Rich Fantasy

A magical world in desperate times is placed in further peril as the Queen makes choices that force the hand of an all-powerful Necromancer bent on taking over. Their world needs a savior which takes the form of Shaz, a warrior wizard. The only problem is he doesn’t realize the strength of his power or how to use it. Together with a small group of friends, Shaz takes on the evil Necromancer. Shaz has to wonder who will do him in first – the Necromancer or his lack of skill and knowledge of his power.

DS Johnson is the author, narrator, and publisher of this fantasy novel of power and magic. This is a well-developed storyline with several plot twists that are equally well-done. The back story of the characters and building their characters was done in a deliberate manner which added to the suspense.

As a narrator, DS Johnson gives a good performance using unique voices for characters. Her enunciation was clear and reflected the personalities accurately. Her cadence was strong, smooth, and evenly paced.

This is a rich fantasy strong in action and adventure. The cover makes the book even more interesting with its attention to detail and hints at what is to come.

There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook. It was clear and crisp.
