Publisher's Summary

Outspoken and more than capable of backing up her words, loan officer, Denise Buhari, is finally back on her feet after years of rebuilding her life following a horrible marriage and divorce. But just when she is ready to head into a future she's sure will be bright, the rug is pulled out from under her again.

Tattoo artist, Hasaan Peterson, meets Denise through her job, and although their relationship is initially contentious, it soon blossoms into a friendship that leads them to passionate feelings neither can deny.

Could it be that Denise and Hasaan are destined to share a love that is unavoidable and undeniable...a real love? Contains mature themes.

Glad To Be Done With This Series

Normally when I finish a series, I'm always a little sad because I enjoyed it so much. Well, that's not the case with the Love After Series. I have never been so happy to be done with a series. I can say I've listened to these books and NEVER do it again. Here's a few cons about Real Love that annoyed me:

1. Denise didn't get fired. She got laid off. You don't get a severance
package if you're fired. I expect an author to know the difference
between being fired and being laid off.
2. Denise didn't even like her job so, what was with the unnecessary
melancholy?!!! Especially, when her BFF's rich husband offered to
give her a job!
3. What is with the consistent use of the term VD?!!! Did we time
travel back to the 70's?!!! No one gets a VD but, they do get an STD!
I'm fairly certain the author is younger than me so, it's weird she
would use VD instead STD.
4. Why did Denise all of a sudden turn into a jealous shrew?!!! Didn't
her ex-husband steal from her?!!! Christian didn't cheat on her. The
way she acted when Haasan got that phone call about his Rafik
was ridiculous and uncalled for.
5. I never thought the term baby could be overused but, after
listening to this book, I realized it can.
6. Denise's reaction when she caught Haasan at the coffee shop with
Mrs. Wycliff was absolutely ridiculous. After the sh*t she pulled, I
really wish Haasan had left her.

I really hate that I didn't enjoy this series but, fortunately, I've read other books by Alexandria House so I'll keep her on my favorite author list.

Alexandria House has done it AGAIN!!!

Real Love was so incredibly good! The story was a wonderful combination of intriguing, soulful, captivating and sexy. I loved the twist that was revealed about the past of one of the characters.

I like how Alexandria House writes from the perspective of both the man and the woman. That is one of the main reasons I love her books.

The narration by Jakobi Diem and Mari was really good. Hands down they are the best audio books narrators I have ever listened to!

Not the author’s best...

Boring compared to the first two. I love this author and feel privileged to be reading her old work through audio, but Denise despite being plus sized wasn’t very interesting. Hassan was a little more so as a tattoo artist but the book feels more like love scene after love scene with no distinct plot.

I still Stan for this author though...

Talk about a surprise!!!

Now, that’s how you keep your readers on their toes. Listening to these books on the way to sleep and woke up at the part “NOAH” I couldn’t wait to repeat to see what I missed… I didn’t see that coming… tears tears but filled with love because non of them knew what to do with that situation. Way to go AH… excellent writing…

Deneise is hilarious

I loved this book. Deneise is crazy and funny and reminds of my short, feisty cousin. Had me cracking up always ready to beat someone's behind.
