How steamy is it? Hot Damn

Publisher's Summary

Country music's bad boy, Boone Thrasher, takes center stage in USA Today best-selling author Meghan March's brand-new stand-alone Real Dirty Duet!

I have everything a guy could want - a new single burning up the charts, more money than a simple country boy could spend, and a woman I'm planning to marry. Until she doesn't show up for my proposal. The life I thought was so perfect isn't. The guy who thought he had everything doesn't. I've got my heart on lockdown, but life sends me straight into the path of a mouthy bartender who puts me in my place. Now the only place I want to put her is under me.

I thought I was done with love, but maybe I'm just getting started.

Great Story and Even Better Narration - But . . .

I really enjoyed this story and the dual narration with Mr. York and Ms. Wolfe are excellent. I really want to comment on this practice of stretching out one book into two. Audio books are my guilty pleasure but I'm now having to decide which books to buy depending on their affordability. Now I have to fork over another credit for a story that is less than six hours long. Or I have to pay nearly $18 for a book no longer than a novella. At least somebody's making money, because I'm surely not.

BOTH BOOKS SHOULD HAVE BE A STAND ALONE ROMANCE

Any additional comments?

I will review both books because it should have been one stand alone and not a series. I did like these books but ofcouse they were too short. This is Meghan at her best. My only issue was the length. Hot and steamy and Worth ONE credit not two.

Another Awesome Story

Another amazing story by Meghan March! I love Boone & Ripley's story!
Ripley was a great character because no matter how much life knocked her down, she never broke. She stuck to her beliefs and was a hard working girl and was never going to let anyone think she was a good digger. Boone may be a big star but he really is a country boy next door. I love a strong man who loves his family and his roots. These two together are pure chemistry. I love how she thinks she is trying to not fall for him and every time he is there he melts in seconds when he gets close ;) I also loved the little visits from old friends like Holly & Creighton! This entire "dirty world" that the author has created has been amazing!

The narration is perfect but that is no surprise when it's Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York.

This review is on both books since it's really just one story. Personally I do not understand duets that come out 2 weeks apart, seems to me it should have just been1 book since it was completed when book 1 was published anyway. After book 1 of each duet I've read in this world I was annoyed by the cliffhanger because it felt like we got 1/2 a book so this time I waited for both books before I started!

Short and Entertaining

Great narrators, great author, very short book, (again). I knew before purchasing that this would not be a complete story. It's either the author or the publisher that insists on tapping my pocket book for 2 five hour books, when one 10 hour long book would tell the whole story. But the story, so far, has been very entertaining, and the narration team is the best in the business.

Disappointed: it's a serial story

No real connection in main characters until after chapter 20. And then to get to the last and find it is to be continued!!!!! One of those to be continued books with no warning.

This is Only part one!

Book is great, reading is great, price is ridiculous! Had I known it was fifteen dollars for half a novel I would never have purchased it. In my opinion Thirty dollars is steep for even the best of books.

Ehhh

OK book--but nothing standout. The female character is rather uninteresting and somewhat annoying...the narrators are both good. The other downside is it's not only short, but it ends in a big cliffhanger. Sadly it wasn't interesting enough that I'd bother buying the follow ups.

I'd take a double shot of Boone Thrasher!!

I think Meghan is getting even better at developing the hottest alpha males ever. Boone Thrasher is definitely my new book boyfriend and I'm very much thinking about getting a parrot. Oh my god- that parrot is hilarious! On to book 2....

5 full on dirty stars

Boone Thrasher, I met and loved him in Meghan's Real Duet series, and I've got to say he's even more perfect now that I've got to know him even more. Jilted the night he was going to propose to his girlfriend, Boone drowns his sorrows in a dead end bar owned by one sassy, holds no punches, sexy, very much down on her luck, Ripley Fischer. Ripley has no support from her family which consists of a drunken abusive dad and a lazy bitch of a cousin. When Boone decides to help Ripley it backfires big time, but maybe after she's forgiven him things will start looking up. Maybe hold that thought, I've got a funny feeling things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. I'm hoping book 2 will provide me with all the answers I'm looking for. Written in dual POV, it's both sexy and funny, with a kick a$$ storyline. I've got to add that I waited patiently for book 2 to come out before attempting to start this book, I'm so glad that I've started doing this with cliffhangers, I'm not a patient person and I would not have coped well waiting. Full 5 star read with two of my favourite narrators.
