A world at stake. A quest for the ultimate prize. Are you ready?
In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the OASIS, a vast virtual world where most of humanity spends their days.
When the eccentric creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a series of fiendish puzzles, based on his obsession with the pop culture of decades past. Whoever is first to solve them will inherit his vast fortune—and control of the OASIS itself.
Then Wade cracks the first clue. Suddenly he’s beset by rivals who’ll kill to take this prize. The race is on—and the only way to survive is to win.

As to the story itself, Ernest Cline is quite obviously a nerd's nerd. The references are all spot on, and even the emotional doubt and fear of being social will familiar to anyone who was a young gamer.
I look forward to letting this one fade from my memory a bit, in anticipation of reading it again.
A must read for anyone.

There were many points when I couldn’t stop listening and found myself sitting in the garage still listening in my car or adding a mile or two while walking my dogs. Can’t wait for the movie!
Why did I ever put off listening to this!?

What did you love best about Ready Player One?
The story and characters were all relevant. The narrative flowed very smoothly from one topic to another. The author actually took the time to research classic game memes, and other gaming subculture to create the most immersive experience to the reader. Every line, paragraph and chapter, read as though they were well thought out beforehand.Who was your favorite character and why?
All of the characters were my favorite.Which scene was your favorite?
The whole story, was interesting but i truly enjoyed the narrative, when the protagonist had to act out an entire scene from one of my favorite movies "War Games".Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I found a new favorite author, I just hope he writes more books like this.Amazing Book!!!! Wish it was a movie!
