Another Underworld short for the collection.

I am a huge fan of Larissa Ione and always look forward to her books coming out. Recently she has done a bunch of the 1001 Dark Nights’ short story collections. Which are good, but I’m ready to have more full length books/series to add to the Demonica/Underworld collection. This one wasn’t my favorite of the 1001 Dark Night books, but it hit all the right buttons for me to still enjoy it. I thought the gem elf was interesting, with her bleeding/crying gems. I am tempted to go back and relisten to all of this series books, there is so much that over time I have forgotten that I’m sure I will love them all over again. Narrator was good, I know I have heard him do something else before.

When destiny comes full circle & all is as it shou

Sometimes things come full circle such as when you mess up your mission, get sent to Sheoul-gra to train Unfallen all because of a gem. Then you meet a Gem Elf and you realize that everything is as it should be. Razr and Jedda are instantly attracted to each other but there is a stronger pull than just chemistry and finding out why makes for a great little story!

Good story but needs better narration

This chapter in the Demonica series is filled with action scenes and eroticism. It was well edited so it is relatively short with little filler and was fun to rad. The narration though fell short because Paul Boehmer does a fine job with the male voices but does not have enough range to perform more than one different female voice. This could easily be rectified in the future with duet narration. This series has been a bit inconsistent and while Razr was not my favorite character in the series, Jemma ranks up there plus this story was very entertaining. Well done!

Fun, unique ideas

Narration was good; not quite right for the characters, but a solid performance.

Loved the unique idea of the gem elf! How they meet was interesting too. Love the idea of Razr and Jedda at odds over this missing jewel; it’s a sort of enemies to lovers type thing, it’s a good backstory. They have a sweet connection. Razr is mostly a sweetheart and puts himself out there for Jedda. I love that sort of soul mate connection. Lots of passion to be had! Fun action too! The last few in this series were 3 stars for me, but I enjoyed this one more, so I’m going 4 stars. This series is always entertaining and I love the world it takes place in.

1st Ione book I've ever DNFd

DNFd at 80%. Ione has had some weak, dumb ass heroines in some of her stories before, but forgiving someone 2 minutes after they've strangled you is just too much. Even her other books with weak heroines were still amazing. This just wasn't. Bummer because I love elves and fae.

Also, Razr was a snob.

Couldn't finish

I tried. I truly tried, but I couldn't finish listening to this book. The narrator was the absolute worst! He made the character sound like an uneducated street thug not an Angel. I should have read the book.
