Great read!

Jamie is an incredible writer and voice actor. This book reminds me a lot of "Consider the lobster" by DFW but better in a few ways! Love the activism and reporting slipped into a very fun read.

Much needed, well-written, and timely

This came to me at exactly the right (read: pretty bad) time in my life. For that Jamie Loftus has my deepest gratitude. She brings wit, intellect, and a chronicling of the present U.S. that is poignant, necessary, and hopeful at the same time. For that she has my utmost respect.

Jamie is a genius

Funny when you want it to be and serious when it needs to be. Definitely great to listen to!

I never thought a book about hot dogs would be so horny.

As the title of this review says, this is the horniest book about hot dogs on the market. I'm so glad Jamie read this book herself, because I genuinely don't think anyone else would've gotten the tone right. At any point in this book, I wasn't sure if it was going to make me laugh, cry, vomit, or crave a hot dog.

The Only Thing Missing Is the Airhorn

A surprisingly heartfelt, horny (yes, horny) and frank (pun intended - I’m not a coward) journey to delve into icon that is the hot dog and everything adjacent to them (including really sus pickle families). If you’re a fan of Jamie, you’ll love it and know exactly where the airhorn would be if this were any of her podcasts. The only thing that would make this audiobook better is an airhorn edition.

Incredible story

I did not think I would be interested in hot dogs but Jamie Loftus once again took a topic I did care about and made a story that I couldn’t stop listening to.

Hooray!

So good, was so excited for the release and my expectations were beyond exceeded. So many laugh out loud in public moments. I was afraid that this would make me never want to eat another hot dog again but I’ve had 4 since I finished?? And I’m craving a chili dog. Will listen again soon.

Raw emotions at the end of the world

If you're a fan of Jaimie Loftus, just buy it. If you're a fan of hot dogs, just buy it. If you want a sprawling story of a millenial coping in a hostile world, just buy it. It's a beautiful story with lots of charming asides and so much information on hot dogs (not just the gross stuff).
