Worthy of a credit for a Dannika Dark fan

Dannika Dark has two previous series, both of which are a part of the paranormal world she has built and are excellent. This is the second book of the Crossbreed series, which is a spinoff of her Mageri series. I enjoyed this particular book because of my familiarity and longtime loyalty to the three series.

However, I was disappointed because the mystery in the story was so obvious and easily solved, and it took her very bright characters far too long to come to the same conclusion. The development of the relationships in the book are also moving at an arctic pace. I'm hoping the next book picks up a little bit because the world and the characters are there and waiting to run in the authors next story.

The narrator is always outstanding !

An Average Sequel with Little Romance

If you're open to just getting to know the characters introduced in Book 1 of this series a little better via a murder mystery, this is probably worth your time. However, this book on it's own isn't super great. The story is incredibly predictable and not all that mysterious, and the lack of foresight and deductive reasoning within the cast of characters is pretty astounding. Raven did show some growth as a female protagonist from the first book in that she was a bit more mature albeit not very perceptive. This book is also considered a paranormal romance, and I would put a checkmark next to paranormal but definitely not romance. There are merely hints at a possible romance, and, ultimately, too much carrot-dangling without reward for the second time in a row.

I continue to find Nicole Poole's narration good enough but not outstanding. I'd give her three-and-a-half stars if that were an option.

I recommend this book to fans of the series or Dannika Dark, but that's it. There's better out there for people looking for a solid paranormal romance.

Slowburn with story continues<br />

Raven finishes her first case and her connections within the house solidifies. Small mysteries are inserted into the main mystery, with some fun scenes and a little deep stuff too. Enjoying my second time through this series. Good narration too.

Ravenheart

The second book allows you more insite into each character. They are a fascinating group full of power and hurt and secret s. The para normal group known as Keystone, must learn to work together to solve crimes committed by other paranormal. The vampire Chris is falling for Ravin. The narrator is so gifted , you would swear there w ere five different people in the room.
Read and enjoy, you won't t be disappointed-

Awesome - loved reading every word!

The second instalment and even more enjoyable if at all possible. Can't wait to see how the next book teases us with Christian and Raven fumbling into caring and love?

Brilliant

I am hooked. This series just gets better which is exactly what I’ve come to expect from Dark’s work. Raven is a strong female lead who is not only capable of exploring her own emotions but is happy to share them with us. Christian is funny, charming, and annoying in equal quantities and I can’t wait to hear more from him. No spoilers, just wow. Best read via audiobook with Nicole Poole.

Just as good, if not better than the first. Fabulous author and the narrator was really enjoyable to listen to.
