Clean romantic suspense

This is Luke and Megan's story, part of the Texas Ranger Heroes series. It has warm, wonderful characters and a complex mystery with some romance. The plot was a bit complex for my first run-through (lots of characters), but I think I will do better when I listen the second time. The story is enjoyable and the narration is very good. I appreciate the Christian message sprinkled in the story.

Excellent Romantic Suspense!

Ranger Redemption took me by surprise, being one of the best written crime/mysteries I've read. The small town connections left me struggling to keep straight who was who a couple of times, but it also made for a well thought-out mystery full of self-interested entanglements.

The second chance romance between Megan and Luke didn't require a lot of time spent on their attraction, so more time could be spent on the well-paced plot

The narration - with an appropriate Texas twang - kept me grounded in the story the whole time.

I look forward to reading the other books in the series!

Intriguing Mystery with a Strong Plot

Luke’s and Meg’s story was so well planned and executed. The mystery was well thought through and even the reason for the second chance romance was so believable.
Anyone who has lived in a place where drugs were king and those who were supposed to be upholding the law were suspect will enjoy Meg’s journey to find redemption for her brother!
I enjoy listening to this narrator! She does an excellent job of reading this genre, and I am sure that she would do well with other genres as well.

Excellent

Luke is a Texas Ranger, and Megan is a defense attorney having dealt with trust issues when her brother was accused of killing, and now in prison.
The engagement was broken. Back now, and trusting no one, she wants to appeal for her brother, when she is attack. Her aunt is almost killed, and now having to except protection from Luke. A good thriller, that keep one searching for clues as the story unfolds. Enjoyed the narration thought it added to the story and the tension in the plot. Given audio for my voluntary review and and my honest opinion.

Conviction and Redemption

Megan's brother is wrongly incarcerated. But since he confessed to the crime he's in prison for, she has little hope of getting him freed. That conviction came at a cost since it was her fiance, Luke, who turned Wade in.

Since then, nothing's been the same...

Now there are new developments in the case and her life is in danger. There is no other option than to work with Luke to solve the case. But there's more at risk than just her life. Their hearts are hanging in the balance too.

While I typically read sweet, clean romances, I wasn't too certain what to think of the thriller side of this story at first. But as they dug deeper into the case, I found myself wanting to know what happened next.

I did find all of the different character names challenging to keep straight. And the narrator did little to differentiate all the different voices (understandably so). So it did detract from the story a bit to be struggling to figure out which secondary character was which.

Sweet love story with some serious danger

Megan Hunt comes home from Houston when she learns her aunt has had an accident that may not be an accident. Her ex-fiance Luke Tatum is the one who saved her aunt after the accident.
Three years ago Frannie was murdered. Megan's brother was arrested and sentenced for the murder but there is some question as to whether he is really guilty.
This book is full of danger - fires, whizzing bullets and disguised evil.
The narrator does a good job. The story is well written and draws you in. I knew of the true bad guy for a good part of the book but did not know the scope of the corruption until it was revealed.
The author gives us some nice parts after the danger is resolved, which makes me happy. I prefer a book that doesn't end immediately after the suspense portion of romantic suspense is resolved.
The author provided me an audible code for review of the audiobook.

Full of action, mystery and romance

As I listen I thought I knew the “villain and then the author would Introduce another character and I was sure it was that one then I will go back to another one. The author is very good at misdirecting to keep the mystery.

Great story

I loved the raw honesty of this story. I loved the chemistry. I loved the suspense as they uncovered secrets of deception & murder. I loved watching these two navigate the investigation together. This is a story of love, forgiveness, romance, and how secrets have a way of coming out. I loved every second of this sweet, small town story.

Good romantic suspense

Ranger Redemption is a well written, suspenseful story that I really enjoyed! It’s book two in the Texas Ranger Heroes Series, but it works as a stand-alone and Lynn Shannon’s books are so well written you should start with book one! I highly recommend this, and I’m looking forward to listening to book three.
