I felt tricked

I loved the story and the suspense and the fact that it was a clean novella. However I did feel tricked because I did not notice that it was only 3 hours long because nothing in its billing or promotion said anything about it being a short story and not a full length novel. I had to pay a full credit for it and and it is Definitely not worth the full credit at only 3 hours long.

Yet another formulaic romance

Don't bother unless you want background noise that you don't have to think about. This book is supposed to be a " Christian" romance but it is really a clean romance where people pray when they are in trouble. I like the total lack of swearing, obscenity, sex scenes and graphic descriptions. I don't like the lack of depth or originality. It's as though the author was told "Throw together a romance using the old Harlequin formula. Just take out the sex scenes, add a little action and put in a couple of prayers and we'll call it a Christian Romamce."

A baby, a doc & a ranger...

Fast paced and action packed! So much is packed into this novella that you’re hooked until the end! A mugging gone wrong, then an attempted kidnapping and Dr. Tara Simms has no choice but to rely on the protection of childhood friend, Texas Ranger Grady West. Can Grady keep her safe? Tara wrestles with this, even after more attempts on her life...and as she sees Grady as more than a friend. Worth the read/listen.

A love story

a sweet story about three people who fall in love, while they were catching a murderer.

Great Read!

I have been wanting to try this author's books for quite a while, so of course I jumped at the chance to request a review copy of this book.
Ranger Protection is a great romantic suspense read that I really enjoyed! I really liked main characters Tara and Grady, and was rooting for them from the start!
Even though this book is short and makes for a great quick read, it has a lot of action and suspense that was very well balanced with the lovely romance that was developing between Tara and Grady.
Ranger Protection is a very good read that I highly recommend, and I look forward to reading more of Lynn Shannon's books in the future!

Intriguing Mystery and Romance

Tara is a new mom, juggling her family medical practice and raising her little girl alone. Grady is a Texas Ranger, healing from a recent injury. When Tara is attacked in the parking lot of the grocery store, Grady was in the checkout line and managed to save her and her daughter.
Though local police suspect that the incident might be related to some similar robberies, Grady suspects it’s more.
When Maddie is kidnapped Grady and Tara catch up in time to save her, but the plot thickens.
Tara will do anything she can to protect her little girl. Grady will do anything he can to protect the woman and child he loves even if it means keeping his feelings a secret. Will Tara try to keep her heart walled up?
And, as suspects arise, can they find out who wants Maddie in time to protect her?

Romantic suspense with believable situation

Story: 5 stars

An excellent storyline with lots of suspects and a sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat finale. Like able main characters and sweet baby who is the thread that ties everyone (good and bad) together.

Romance, but the main focus is on the suspense. Our heroine isn’t a wilting flower sitting around waiting to be rescued, but a strong woman who assists multiple times when she and hers are in danger.

Narrator: 4.5 stars

Great voice, cadence, intonation and accent! Her male voices are excellent and she has that subtle Texas accent that isn’t Deep South, but is true Texas.

Ranger Protection

Excellent book. I enjoyed it from the beginning. Good, clean romantic suspense. Looking forward to the next book.
