Publisher's summary

His to protect. Hers to cherish. Theirs to claim.

A woman ready to give up....

Mountain lion shifter Marisa wants only to be put down. Madness taunts her every day. Her tormented past won't let her go - until grizzly bear shifter Riley and his young children shake up her world. They give her something to live for, if only she can escape her brutal history.

A bear shifter haunted by tragedy....

After the horrific loss of his mate years ago, solitary backcountry ranger Riley raised his cubs alone. Raging sorrow is no place for a daddy bear to stay stuck, though - especially not after he meets Marisa. Because the damaged yet riveting woman is the only one who can finally heal his shattered heart.

A shifter town faced with dangerous outsiders.

But when Marisa's ruthless past hunts her down, neither Riley's fierce vigilance nor her own wary instincts are enough to protect her. The wild spirit of an entire town filled with untamed shifter strength must come together to safeguard them all - and show two devastated souls they need one another to become whole.

To the listener: This story is filled with heart-pounding romance, pause-resisting adventure, and some awesome sexy times. If you love big ole grizzly bear shifters who have a soft spot for their fated mates, the charming, and funny details of a shifter-filled small town, and the beautiful power of true love to always save the day, this audiobook is for you.

My favorite in this series so far!

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! I own this ebook and the audiobook, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I have bought the whole series in ebook and filled out my collection of the audiobooks for this series too!

This is the 4th book in the Silvertip Shifters series at least according to Goodreads. I own 24 ebooks by J.K., and now 6 audiobooks. This is for adults only due to the steamy content. This audiobook is about 6 hours long or the ebook which is about 244 pages long.

This is Riley and Marisa’s story. They both have a lot of baggage from their past. He lost his mate, and she has a whole lot of history she wants to leave behind her. There is lots of action in this book, and the twins are adorable as ever. This is a great story whether reading or listening to the audiobook.

I highly recommend to any bear shifter fans especially if you already love this series!!

An Emotional Listen

Rating: ❤❤❤❤.5
Heat Rating: 🔥🔥🔥
Narrator Performance: 🎧🎧🎧🎧

RANGER BEAR is another fabulous book in J.K. Harper's Silvertip Shifters series. As usual Harper delivered a fantastic story that will undoubtedly resonate with her readers. I know it did with me.

While I knew about Riley and the general story about what happened to his mate from the previous books in the series, Marisa's backstory was completely new. It was extremely tragic and heartbreaking 💔 I went into the story ready to dislike her because of her deeds in the previous books but when I learned more about her I just couldn't. She was in a rotten situation and was only doing what she needed to in order to survive. That was something that I could easily understand as Harper wrote evocative scenes.

I think that the way the whole story tied up at the end was awesome. It really showed the amount of plotting out the author did with the story as well as the series in general. You gotta love an author whose dedication to her craft is so obvious.

Heart rending, sorrowful, cathartic and hopeful RANGER BEAR was a veritable roller coaster of emotions and I relished listening to it! I'm not afraid to admit that I cried 😭 while virtually hanging onto the narrator's every word. Isn't it absolutely amazing when an author draws out such reactions from their readers?

Beth Roeg is a fantastic narrator. I know I'm always going to enjoy a performance of hers. She usually does everything I want from a narrator - acting, different voices and speech patterns as well as a smooth and natural pace. Unfortunately this time around I found her acting to be a bit lacking. Most specifically in the scenes where painful pasts were revealed. I wanted more emotion from her.

great listen

I enjoyed this book from the start. The story of the outcast cat - Marissa - and the ranger bear - Riley just clicked with me. It was more of a slow burn romance than some of the other stories and the story had a lot of issues that needed to be resolved for both Marissa and Riley. I was engaged throughout and found it difficult to put down.
The Narrator Beth was very good as she always is in this series,
I will certainly listen to other books in the series.

Awesome read!!

I really enjoyed listening to Ranger Bear: Riley. Riley is a shifter bear with two cubs, that he had to raise after his mate was killed. Marissa is a mountain lion shifter, that was a human until changed. This story contain danger, heartbreak, suspense, and two broken souls. Marissa and Rilely's chemistry was hot, but there was to much baggage and secrets to be together. I highly recommend this audiobook.

Ranger Bear: Riley

Marisa is a lion shifter under the Silvertip clan. She was taken at the "Bridge Fight" where she had been forced to attack the Bear community. Riley a bear shifter has lost his mate years ago when she was killed by a hunter. He barely has control of his bear. His bright side is his twins who keep him grounded. When they meet sparks fly. She wants someone to put her down. She has problems with her inner kittly. The story unfolds with the reasons why and how they end up helping each other overcome the past. I liked the narration of the story that kept the story interesting for me to finish and want to get the next book.
