Publisher's summary

Nelson's crews are standing down and Ramage is on leave when he receives secret Admiralty orders to inspect the small island of Trinidade off the coast of Brazil. Reaching the island, Ramage and the crew of the Calypso fetch up in a battle to free several captive merchant ships - and a beautiful woman passenger - as they cross swords with bloodthirsty priates.

another good book in the series

an interesting storyline in this book with lots of reoccurring characters and maybe a new positive love interest for our hero the stories cover the Napoleonic wars with the British royal Navy

Not Quite to Par

What did you like best about Ramage and the Renegades? What did you like least?

The overall plot was good enough, but it was so thin that it took a lot of filler to make a book out of it. As a result there was so much banter between the main characters that seem out of order from the earlier books, and out of order from Ramage's rank.

What does Steven Crossley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Crossly does an excellent job of bringing the characters life.
