Raising physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy children has never been more difficult. In the past, the influences a child was exposed to were limited, directly observable and could be controlled, but with the growth of technology, the proliferation of social media and the general air of growing paranoia and divide in today's society, parenting has become a challenge with far too many ways things could go wrong...if you are not on your toes and prepared.

Toddlers are difficult to deal with on the best of days. They are temperamental. They make demands. They try to get their way whenever they can. You may think just by hearing this that your toddler is doing all of it on purpose. Why else would they spontaneously start screaming bloody murder in the middle of the toy aisle when you tell them for the umpteenth time that they cannot have that toy they were asking for?

Raising a child is a hard job. When they are babies, they require from us much attention, but once they become toddlers, it is a different game. Especially for busy parents, this task may seem difficult, and at times, you may feel to be a failure. It is not uncommon, in fact, to feel overwhelmed when your child throws tantrums for silly reasons, refuses to go to bed, or does not stop fighting with his little brother over and over again.

Story
Positive parenting is an approach that seeks to always affirm and validate the child while understanding the problems and meeting the needs that underlie negative behavior. It is not so much a set of rules and guidelines as it is a way of life. At its heart is a belief in your own child and the assurance that your child is enough and doesn’t need to be anything more than the child already is. Positive parenting has the goal of empowering children to make good and meaningful decisions on their own without the need for external motivation.
