“Can We Get a Puppy?”

This wonderful read for youth describes a young girl who selflessly serves others. She loves dogs, which I totally understand. However, she raises a puppy to become a guide dog for the blind.
I love the voice of the young narrator, the storyline, and the inclusions of other family losses that provide the conflicts.
This story is well worth the time spent.
