Meet Becca Swift! She's got the most overbearing family in the world - because she was raised by wolves. Literally. Becca is a werewolf, and she is part of a loud and crazy, up-in-your-business pack. In her day-to-day life, she tries to keep the fact that she's a werewolf a secret. But then along comes Loren. Loren has legs for days, the most gorgeous smile Becca's ever seen, and a sense of humor that's off the charts. Becca's smitten. Still, when Becca's mother asks her to bring Loren to dinner, Becca's not ready to tell Loren exactly what she is. So she begs her family, for one single night, to "try to act perfectly normal." But "normal" just isn't in the DNA of this pack of werewolves.

Narration was excellent, 5+ stars. However this is only half a story because it doesn’t resolve the romance or the family plot. The story is missing the crisis, the dark night of the soul, the epiphany, the grand gesture, and the resolution showing the more solid relationship and happily ever after. Romance readers expect this structure and this reader was dissatisfied that the two most important relationship arcs were left hanging.

This was a really great story with a lot of potential, but it left a lot to be desired. I expected at least SOME closure at the end but was left disappointed. still, good story, just the one complaint <3

hated the end

Cheesy, but I listened to it all the way through. Enjoyed the story for what it was.

Would you listen to Raised by Wolves again? Why?

Yes! I am not one for the werewolf, vampire stories, but I enjoyed the Knight Series and thought I would give it a listen. The narrator was awesome and just added that much more to the story. My only complaint is that I didn't want it to end. I hope there is more to come.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Raised by Wolves?

I liked the attraction of the characters. Many times the characters are torn and deny their love, but this was immediate and sweet. I enjoyed how the author wrote like a werewolf expert. It was interesting to imagine what it would be like if they were real.

What about Maria Marquis’s performance did you like?

I was drawn in immediately. Some of the performances are forced. This sounded completely natural and I found myself believing this was actually her story.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to more from Bridget Essex and I am now looking for books performed by Maria Marquis!
