A Westwick Witches Cozy Mystery

Cendrine West can't catch a break. She's close to landing a new job, and things are getting cozy with sexy sheriff Tyler Gates. All that changes when she is kidnapped by renegade witch Aunt Pearl, who is hell-bent on avenging a friend's untimely death. It's Las Vegas or bust...for all the wrong reasons.

Rocco Racatelli is a hunky Vegas kingpin - and the next mob target. Lady Luck has dealt him a losing hand and he wants revenge. When Aunt Pearl is a little too eager to help, project Vegas Vendetta quickly escalates into an all-out mob turf war. As the witches are thrust into Sin City's seamy underworld, bodies pile up and secrets are exposed.

It's not just the Las Vegas heat that's scorching...Rocco is intent on winning Cen's heart. But she only wants the man she left behind in Westwick Corners. All she has to do is solve a murder, out-magic her ornery aunt, and take down the Las Vegas mafia. What could possibly go wrong?

When organized crime meets unorganized magic, anything can happen! As the body count climbs, it's clear that Cen needs more than a miracle in the desert to set things right.

Poor Cen. Aunt Pearl get her and her mother mixed in another antics. She kidnaps Cen and takes her and her mom to Las Vegas. Of course she does not tell the complete truth as to why they have to go. This mystery involves a dead friend of Aunt Pearls and whether it was an accidental death or murder. There is mobsters, gambling, shoot outs and mobsters trying to take over another's business. What does all this have to do with Cen, Aunt Peal and her mother? Come along and find out. This book was so funny and had plenty of twist. I look forward to more this this series. I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest opinion. I recommend this series. The narrator did a great job in bringing the characters to life.

Vegas Shenanigans!

Aunt Pearl is at it again and this time she has dragged Cendrine to Vegas where she is knee deep in her crazy shenanigans. Murder mysteries, witches, the mob and one crazy scenario after the other had me in stitches at times listening to this extremely entertaining story. There are also some unexpected twists and surprises. Colleen Cross has a real talent for holding your interest throughout the entire book and Petrea Burchard does a great job narrating. I am definitely looking forward to the next book with these zany characters! This book was given to me for free and I provided this unbiased review.

I love this author so much! She writes such a fun storyline with plenty twist and turns to keep anyone guessing what is really going on! Aunt Pearl is driving Cendrine nuts again! This time she drags Cen and her mom to Las Vegas! There is lots of humor, mystery, suspense, witches, danger, a touch of romance, and plenty action! Narration is excellent and brought the story to life! Love this narrator! There seems to be one crazy thing after another going on in this story! Poor Cen, she can’t win with her crazy aunt pearl shenanigans! This time they are in serious danger caught in between a mob war! There is plenty secrets that unfold as the story progresses. It’s always a rollercoaster ride with Aunt pearl! Such an entertaining ride all the way through. I love the way things wrapped up and I’m already looking forward to the next crazy adventure with this fun crew!

Cute Cozy

I listened to this via audible. I did not read it at all. That may make my experience different from someone reading the book. This was a cute story with a magical twist. There was so much going on and so many false stories I had a hard time following. The false stories told to the MC seemed to have no purpose. I found that confusing and frustrating at times. This is a light Cozy series. Aunt Pearl is the puppeteer pulling everyone's strings. I had a hard time understanding why she was keeping everyone in the dark. Otherwise, it was a cute, light read. The mystery was Okay once you had all the pieces. I will read the next one to see where the series goes. I thought the narrator did a solid job. Her pacing was good. I felt confused in not being able to understand if any facts presented were the truth. I requested and received a free copy of the audio version in exchange for an honest review.

Even better than book 1

I listened to this while moving across the country. 15 hours in a car becomes VERY monotonous. This book definitely broke that up well. This is book 2 in the Westwick Witches series. It's just a downright fun listen. Good mystery. Good characters. Set in Vegas, add magic, add crazy family members, a mystery, and you are good to go. This was such fun.

Cozy mystery with a Vegas Witchy twist

This is the second book I have listened to from this series. A fun, easy listen. You don't have to read/listen to the first one to understand what's happening here (but it's a great one, so why not?!). There is a kidnapping (kind of), mobsters, murders, love and mayhem. I loved it. Definitely will keep listening to this series. I was given a free copy of this in exchange for my honest review.

Honest review

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery. It is chalked full of suspense. It has mystery, murder, witchcraft, and love. This was definitely a cute book to read. I was shocked by the murderer as I kept thinking it was someone else. The reason was also shocking too. I really enjoyed the different character voices portrayed by the narrator. I’d definitely recommend this book.

What happens in Vegas - stays in Vegas BABY!

I listened to this narrated by the fabulous Petrea Burchard right after listening to Book 1. I really enjoyed Book 1 and gave it 4 stars but this one gets 5. I loved it even more. I think the character of Aunt Pearl and the antics she gets up to were responsible for the extra star! I know a lot of people discuss plots in reviews. I don't like to do that because I've had lots of stories spoiled for me by reading a review which gave something away. This is just such a great romp. A well-written, easy to listen to and sometimes funny witchy mystery. I particularly loved the ending with sexy sheriff Tyler Gates! can't wait to start Book 3!

Highly entertaining

I listened to this on audiobook. I'll be the first to admit that I don't usually read Cozy mysteries, however this four part book series appealed to me because of the Witches and magic contained within said stories. So because of that I decided to give the first book "Witch You Well" a go and I'm very glad that I did. So it was a no brained to continue on with the series.  So book 2 Rags to Witches was even more fun than book 1. It was full on entertaining again with all sorts going on, but this time the story was set in Las Vegas and we all know what they say about that place lol. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. I thoroughly enjoyed being reacquainted with the characters of Cen, Pearl and Ruby. It was also great to see the return of the Sheriff whom I didn’t think would be featured much in this story with it being based in Vegas, so glad I was wrong on that count. The character of Pearl always makes me roll my eyes at times, some of the things she comes out with and gets up to, she really is quite a handful. So it's all happening in this story and definitely never a dull moment from start to finish. Plus a couple of the scenes did make me giggle.  So all in all, I very much enjoyed this and I'm looking forward to continuing the series with book 3.

Great Cozy mystery

A great second instalment of the Westwick Witches. Cendrine is travelling to an interview when Aunt Pearl intervenes and she ends up in Las Vegas attending a funeral. Things quickly go downhill as the funeral turns into a murder investigation and all the suspects are mobsters. Sheriff Tyler Gates comes to the rescue and romance is on the cards for Cendrine but the Sheriff has a shocking secret of his own! I am quickly becoming fond of the Westwick Witches and look forward to the next instalment.

Amusing easy read

As a second book, this was an amazing follow up to the series. A nice balance between tying up with book one and introducing new characters meaning even if book one hadn’t been read it would still have been a good read. I think the story line flowed a little bit better in this book, but that could be because I am getting to know the characters. I refreshing story line that includes witches walking amongst us, without a bad bone. Aunt Pearl is a rebellious character who never fails to make me laugh. I can not wait to listen to the next in this series.

Las Vegas Mafia and Witches.

There is kidnapping, vengeance, witches, the Mafia, Las Vegas, witches, romance, crime and witches. Lots of plot lines make this a really enjoyable listen. The action moves from Westwick to Las Vegas in this second tale of this cozy series. The writing is great, plots zip along and the characters always Interesting. A wonderful narrator adds to the overall pleasure.

Such convolutions until the truth comes out.

Cendrine has a hard time with her family pushing her in ways she doesn’t want. Love the personal bit at the end, looking forward to what happens there!
