Mr. Miller is a superb storyteller.

A super compelling divergent purpose between the two major communities, which could be endlessly debated in a book club.

A Very Believable Vision of a Post Apocalyptic Earth

I believe that Miller hit it out of the ballpark with his image of what a post apocalyptic world might look like. I like that he revealed this world slowly, showing us a few of the societies and lives that resulted from the apocalypse before ultimately allowing us to discover, through their own discoveries, the form the apocalypse took. And the action, the conflict between societies, the feeling that the main characters were always on the brink of discovery, and my own desire to know more--these all made it very difficult for me to put the Kindle down. I don't know when I've enjoyed a book more, but I know it's been a while.

I began recommending this book to everyone I know by the time I'd gotten halfway through it, and I can think of no better compliment. I'm not sure how many novels Miller has written, but I have enjoyed 5 of them before reading this one. I wasn't sure that I would enjoy this foray into science fiction, but I'm so very glad I took a chance on it!
