The book includes an introduction that discusses what it means to be rad and radical, an afterword with 26 suggestions for how you can be rad, and a resource guide with ideas for further learning and reading.

American history was made by countless rad - and often radical - women. By offering a fresh and diverse array of female role models, we can remind listeners that there are many places to find inspiration and that being smart and strong and brave is rad.

Rad American Women will be appreciated by various age groups. It is Common Core-aligned for students grades three to eight. Preschool and young children will be captured by the bright visuals and easily modified texts while the subject matter will stimulate and inspire high schoolers and beyond.

Love this. This book is great for all ages and I encourage anyone to share this with their children to get an early start on how to be a better human.

Written for young people, and for parents to share with their kids, "Rad American Women” is a dynamite hit of inspiration.

I guarantee there will be at least one woman on this list whose life story is new to you. I thought I was a feminist trivia queen, but the authors came up with life’s little details I had never heard of!

I finished this collection with solid fist pump.

Such a short listen but so rich. Makes me want to research these women all on my own.

Wonderful for everyone to hear.

Great performance and I learned so much about “Rad” women, of whom I never heard and those about who I thought I knew a lot.

Short Primer

This is a small and succinct little book. Quick and easy read. Includes many women who have not been highlighted in popular culture. I will be having both my girls (7 & 10yr olds) read this book!
