What could be better than seeing a family member? How about an old dear friend who has been looking for you? Waldo and Alice might have different opinions on that. But when old familiar faces come calling sometimes a reunion just isn't avoidable.

This one was excellent as all the others, but here we get a few backstories to Waldos life which was really interesting to take part of. Everything was spot on, audio, story, technical stuffs, all arcs come together, the humor. I just love it. The author has put much love into this story and it is noticable. Get this one even if its a bit short, well worth it

Excellent story... much backstory in this one

I once again enjoyed traveling along with Waldo Rabbit, the dark mage pretending to be a white mage. His traveling companions are his wife Alice, the succubus, and his servant Gronk, the ogre. On Waldo’s trek, we are once again privy to all the errors he makes and the resulting chaos it causes those around him. While Waldo is currently stuck in Luna town trying to heal the dragon, the forces of good and evil continue on their path toward war and his grandfather is still trying to kill him. I love that Waldo’s character, despite his unique powers, is still sweet, a bit naive, clumsy, and makes all kinds of mistakes which really makes him a very likeable hero. The tongue in cheek humor of Waldo being forced to do good deeds despite believing he is dark and evil, continues to be one of the best parts. His grumbling and reluctance is usually “solved” by Alice’s chastisement which is hilarious. The book has the same main characters from the other books with some new characters added into the mix. Like the other books, every time Waldo and his familiars are confronted with a new threat, they manage to overcome it through luck, a new skill/power or a unlikely ally shows up at the last moment. Despite knowing this, it does not change the enjoyment of the story. I will definitely keep reading the series.

Gary Furlong did a great job narrating the stories and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

More adventures for the “dark” mage

Still Good

Just too short for the price. It felt rushed like the author was trying to meet a deadline.

Great character growth

As with every book before, too short.
Otherwise a great listen that has me rooting for the Rabbit.
