Hooked again

How could this book hold me to crave another chapter. Usually books in the middle of series are not so spectacular. I was actually screaming out load and cheering. You will love the characters and loathe others. You will be on the edge of your seat. These books should be made into a movie. Enjoy

Another great story from Sarah J. Maas

This is my favorite book in this series! Each narrative was interesting, even characters I don't love. I even felt hope for the witches. I loved seeing all the characters get a little closure and SPOILER--their revenge. The writing was beautiful! Everyone kicked butt! The climax was EPIC, and will stay with me! I don't know if it was supposed to, but the ending felt like the closure to one story, and paves the way for news stories! If you read and loved the previous books, then this one won't disappoint!

Queen of Death, Shadow of Friends!

What did you love best about Queen of Shadows?

Celeana's transition from one person or character to the one that she feared the most. She travels the long hard journey from independent assassin to exiled queen of the realm.

What other book might you compare Queen of Shadows to and why?

The movie, Lord of the Rings! I didn't read the book but there are likeness in the two. This book series would make a terrific movie sequence. I can't wait for it to come out.

What about Elizabeth Evans’s performance did you like?

Elizabeth Reads and tells the story in such a way that I just enjoy. Her voice is Celeana Sardophian. It is really like listening to an old friend.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The series and this book is no different are interlaced with times of emotional interaction between characters. The love and hate of tumultuous times and actions. It has scenes when you have to laugh and times when you want to cry. They way it's written and told make you feel and care for the characters as the story unfolds.

Any additional comments?

The series has been a wonderful friend on the commute to and from work. Hopefully Sara and Elizabeth will connect for another book to the series.
Please don't rush it to just to get another book out, keep the quality of the series.

Amazing!!

One of the best series I've ever read! The story line was perfect, pace was fast and slow at the right places. Sarah, you did splendid on this one!

LOVE this story!!

This series by Sarah Maas is fantastic! Adventure, magic, intrigue, romance, heartbreak, disaster and triumph! So many wonderful twists and turns.

My only dislike is that the reader/producer did not take the time to make sure that she pronounced all of the names the way Maas had written. She wrote a pronunciation guide for goodness sake!

Not a Stand Alone!

Found this book on sale & thought if I liked it, I'd then read the first in the series. It was difficult to get into the story mainly because there was little explanation. I am sure that had I read the novel(s) that came before I would have loved it. However, without that knowledge I was left behind through much of the first half of the book.
Luckily I understood enough to get through it because aside from that I enjoyed the book. Some things annoyed me, but I'm quite picky about literature.
The narrator was adequate. I have no reason to praise her, and too many reasons to write here that would defame her. The main character was performed very well. I thought there could have been more range in the supporting cast; sometimes I was greatly confused when 2 or more women were talking.
Overall this is worth what I paid for it. Granted it was on sale & I think it may have been free. I need to read the first book in order to tell you if you should or shouldn't use a credit.
Happy listening!
