Great Story/Great World and Magic!

I’m not a pro so I don’t have the literary knowledge I entertain as I review like some. I don’t do spoilers either. To be short and sweet, this is a great sequel to the first installment of the series. The action is often, the places, people, and things to explore are numerous and wondrous. I love the sound effects. I think it was alright considering when it was done. Lol either way it’s not so bad I’d have to give a negative comment or rating for. Check it out if you love, Sanderson, Martin, Wight etc

Hidden gem

I gave little effort in Reading the synopsis. What it doesn’t capture are the multifaceted everyday hero’s that click a special place in my heart.

A great sequel

A great story, well woven. my issue lies in the lousy effects added to the reading to sound demonic or echoing, but end up sounding like a child playing with cheap sound effects.

Also mispronounces words like athame.

Meh

Kind of a "meh" story. The characters are a bit surface-level and everything moves so fast that it feels like you can never really watch a character develop. I'm going to continue, but that's really just because I like long listens and I've been craving fantasy since I finished the wheel of time series.

Split it up for those who listen more than others

From an Audio standpoint, and maybe even as the book, break it up. it's OK to have more chapters. It is hard to find the spot you lost focus (work, wife, kids, anyone) when it's 30-60 min between chapters. I'm sure with many committed listeners. you are doing and facing unscheduled interruptions. you have to go back, and back, and. but when 1 chapter covers three + storylines and 35+ minutes.... but the story is amazing!! just insane to follow!!!!!
