Phlox isn't your typical pixie, and his feisty shifter DNA might be the reason.

Recruited by the Magical Usage Council, Phlox—who is now Agent Frost—is a pixie with a mission, and he's not afraid to place himself in mortal danger to eradicate the latest pixie trafficking ring.

Despite being King Lucroy Moony's second-in-command, Leon McMillan's second life has become dangerously monotonous. For a vampire, boredom is as deadly as a stake to the heart. Three hundred years of existence has taken a mental toll—one that will eventually lead Leon into the sun's deadly embrace. Leon needs a life raft; he just never imagined it in the form of a pushy pixie.

Phlox and Leon can't deny their mutual attraction. However, in order for Phlox's mission to succeed, he needs to appear helplessly alone, and Leon's worried stalking isn't aiding that mission.

Soon, the knowledge Phlox and Leon obtain leads to a dangerous, mentally unstable djinn, who has a vicious master holding its leash. Although history claims djinns are all-powerful, indestructible creatures, Phlox and Leon must find the secret to their destruction if they are to save Rutherford Haven's citizens. If they can't, Rutherford Haven will be the first to fall, but it won't be the last.

Phlox will dig his shifter claws into anyone who dares threaten his mate, and Leon will tear the heart out of anyone who dares threaten his beloved—his purrfectly peculiar pixie.

Purrfectly Peculiar Pixie is the fifth and final book in the Perfect Pixie series, which should be enjoyed in order. Purrfectly Peculiar Pixie features an emotionally constipated vampire, a pixie who's far more than he appears, witches and trolls with questionable morals, an alpha werewolf whose time on planet Earth is precariously close to its end, a (questionably) good djinn, an (unquestionably) sinister djinn, an interesting necromancer, and all our previously beloved characters coming together to prove that teamwork really does make the dream work.

Purrfectly Peculiar Pixie contains homicide of the fantasy kind (no humans were killed in the making of this book) with scenes describing death and killing.

I love this series! I can visualize each character so easily and they are all so beautiful and unique. I'm glad we got more of all the other characters in this bookas well. I absolutely love Ray and Wendel, so it was nice to get a glimpse of how their story continued.
I have to say, I do miss the sexy scenes. The first few books had full sexy time scenes and I feel like they even added to the story. I like the books either way, but I do miss the extra spice the first few books had.

Beautiful series

I loved how different Phlox was to other pixies and the relationship with Leon was indeed puuuurfect. I had never heard of a Pallas cat but resting Pallas cat face has become a thing in my house. I was also thrilled with the epilogue. From the secondthe author introduced Erasmus, I was smitten. I am impatiently waiting for the next book.

I love this series.

Someone on Facebook recommended this series. I purchased the first book to see if I liked it and I DID!!! I'm so glad for the recommendation I received. After listening to book one I couldn't wait to see what happened next, so I bought the entire series. I binged listened to all five books back to back.

Now, if you're looking for a book with a lot of heat this is not that... and you will probably be disappointed. For me it's all about the story, the characters, and the ability to keep the story/series moving and keeping me engaged.

MJ May is a new to me author and I plan on checking out more of their books. I loved the narration with Tor Thom and Cooper North, they both did a fantastic job.

I can't wait to read Erasmus' book in the series Necromancer Tales.

What a great start to a series!!!

Phlox’s Story closes the Perfect Pixie series with flair, tossing our pixie-shifter hero and brooding vampire Leon into a high-stakes plot against djinn conspiracies and traffickers. The crossovers of past couples and allies delivers warm nostalgia, and the emotional core of the series is strong. Some threads sag under series-finale weight—stakes are pushed, but not all character beats land with the emotional clarity I craved. It’s an enjoyable and richly imaginative finale.
