"Everyone makes their Barbies scissor, it doesn't mean you're gay."—Cameron Miller, Puppy Love
Cameron Miller hates change. It makes her sweaty, tongue-tied, or worse—silent. Her anxiety doesn't help, leaving her expecting disaster around every corner. Finding out that her almost one-night stand is her new boss only confirms her fears.
Violet Wolfe isn't looking for love. In fact, due to her impending divorce, she plans to stay far, far away from it. Luckily, love and a close encounter in a bar bathroom don't bear many similarities. But when the woman from last night turns up as her work's newbie, Violet realizes she's accidentally violated her boss' #1 rule: No dating colleagues.
The chemistry between them is undeniable, sure, but it's just a physical attraction—or so they tell themselves. Yet, as they start to consider breaking workplace policy, as well as the boundaries they've set for themselves, they start to wonder if it really is just puppy love or if something larger is pulling them together.
Puppy Love is a sapphic romantic comedy and the first book in a diverse, interconnected standalone series, Greenrock Valley. With dogs, spice, and everything nice, this debut novel is sure to make you laugh and sweat, all while tugging on your heartstrings.

Everything was amazing from the narration to the plot development, this isn’t your typical cheesy sapphic HEA—which we all love— there’s a poetic depth in the writing that is so compelling that it makes you want to see the story through to the end. And also, puppers!!!
The Depth!

Violet is patient, understanding, and deserving of Cam.
Cam is growing, learning how to be the best version of herself and a good partner.
This book has a mental health aspect that was written very healthy and with a great amount of sensitivity towards it.

Cam and Violet - boss/employee, no-strings situationship that went hot and heavy until reality set in. So many things for both of them to unpack before they can confront their feelings.
***Spoiler***
A little incident with one of the dogs, but everything is fine! He makes it alright. All furry friends have a HEA❤️

Though they only seem to have released two books so far, I will definitely look forward to reading more from this author. The quality of the writing is well above average, the scenes well set, and the main characters well painted, though if I have a complaint it's that there are quite a few supporting characters who pop in and out with unusual but similar sounding names (at least to me) and it can be hard to remember who some of these are.
Trigger warnings include addicted parents, potential stalking from ex-boyfriend, and dog violence. The "spice" is well done and integral to the plot-though there's a definite "top".
Good Sapphic RomCom-But Corny Title and Triggers

Unfortunately, a lot of that ends up looking more like being in an abusive relationship than actual character growth.
Both narrators are fantastic
