Levi Walsh is on active duty as a major in the United States Army, while his teen-aged daughter, Becca, is living three hours away in central Florida under the care of her grandfather, Ray, a disabled veteran and devoted prepper. When a massive EMP attack shuts down much of the United States, the Walsh family is ripped apart, separated by hundreds of miles that seem like much more in a world gone mad, with communications and transportation paralyzed. Levi is torn between his heightened military duties during the emergency and the need to return home to his embattled family. When honorably freed from duty, he fights his way across the state to reach Becca. Will his best efforts be enough – against the host of marauding gangs and desperate survivors - to protect his own?

Good Read.

This is my first read with this author. I liked his style, the story line, and the characters. I will look for more books by this author.

good story.

I like the story pretty well so far hoping the next one is just as good. I do wish there had been just a little less death of nice characters lol
