The author did a great job chronologically dictating Kendrick Lamar's music career that started well before most realize. Now he need to go back and listen to his music that this book focuses on to listen with an educated ear about an artist/ poet who parallels Tupac.

He made it make sense!

I loved the flow and the cadence of the story and the reading of the story. It matched Kendrick and when HE tells stories.

The ant's-eye view into the life of one of the most profoundly prolific literary artists and citizens, ever.

Loved the story and writing. My only qualm is the reader/performer consistently mispronouncing Rakim as Rakeem. Otherwise, 5 out of 5.

Great Work

The details of the story was a
little hard to follow but as I listened I began to understand where the author was coming from. I enjoyed the story of Lamar’s upbringing, inspiration, style and tenacity.
