Good with a different tempo

Rapid tempo with shorter sentence structure, reminiscent of old Mickey Spillane stories. 3-4 story lines that meshed well. Not great but solid and entertaining.

Another good Patterson story

The story was good, but a little too predictable. The characters are interesting, but their lives are unrealistic and somewhat hard to relate to. Overall a good listen, especially while making a long drive.

The old time detective vibe.

There was not too enough nail biting tension. Not in the crime solving and not in the romance. Although I understand this was the first book in a series and that being said it does complete its intention… to establish the character’s background storyline.
