Publisher's Summary

An inherited curse has kept depressed innkeeper Simone Bristol bound to a rundown beach motel for the past six years. Just when she has a chance to break free of it, some visiting guests check in and reset the curse's clock. They may have foiled her getaway, but it turns out one of those guests could be her respite.

Heath Horan, Sídhe prince and leader of a crew of fairy, motorcycle-riding assassins, claims she's his fated mate. Unfortunately, he also claims that her mother was a runaway from the fairy realm and that Queen Rhiannon - his mother - would love to see both women dead. It seems Simone has walked from one curse into another.

She may be able to get used to being the main squeeze of a sword-wielding prince in leather, but she's not so sure she's cut out to be an assassin, too. Unfortunately, if she wants to stay alive long enough to break her curse and help Heath subdue unrest in his realm caused by his mother's antics, she might have to be.

Super fun fairy soap opera

at the beginning I had my doubts it was like what im hearing? but after awhile the pieces begin to come together and I found it was pretty fun.

the narrator helped me with the story, I think she played a major role for me to come to like the story, the voices she made were pretty lively I liked that.

the story was interesting too in it's own way since it had mythology and I love that kind of thing.

in all it was fun and interesting, it had some parts when I wanted to kill either one of the protagonists but they grow on you if you give them the chance.

and the end hook me since now I want to know what will happen with Ethan and Dasha.

Just not for me

What did you like best about Prince in Leather? What did you like least?

the sex scenes. there's threesome scenes, which I don't care for, and on top of that, they were weird scenes.

What does Pyper Down bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She did a good job doing different voices, and she had a good tone to her voice.

Any additional comments?

Full Review -

This is slightly spoilerish, but I think it's something readers should know before starting this book because if I'd know this aspect was in the book, I probably would've pass on it. The main characters engage in threesome activity, which is fine for others to read, but I just don't enjoy that type of thing; it diminishes the connection between the main characters for me, so I tend to stay away from book that type of thing. Also, it was a weird threesome, the guy felt like a creeper to me, so after that I sort of skimmed through the rest of the book because I felt off about the book after that. I do enjoy the premise for this book, and I liked the characters, so I was disappointed that the threesome stuff turned me off the story. If you don't mind that type of thing, then I'm sure you'll enjoy this book. It deals with the Fae, which I find super cool, and the author does have an unique take on the Fae, which was interesting. Also, the ending felt abrupt, and I felt dissatisfied with it. I listened to the audiobook version of this story, and the narrator does a good job, and I enjoyed her performance. Despite enjoying the premise for this book, I think I stay away from the next books in this series, and I may check out other Holley Trent books, but I'll definitely check reviews before I read any of them. Interesting, but not for me.

Narrator improved it

The story started out great. It's witty, and I loved Simone, the main female character. And they didn't rush into love or sex, even though they were mated. So the story is a bit of fighting and a sort of courting of Simone by Heath. But it didn't hold my interest intensely for the 9+ hrs. It wasn't hard to finish it, but I didn't seek to listen to it either. I didn't even listen to it completely, doing other things while it was playing, and just jumped back in, paid attention fully again at whatever point. And I never missed anything important or worth rewinding for. So eventually I was just listening to finish it. The narrator made it easy to finish the last half of the story; she was great. The wittiness helped a lot too.
The sex was 1-way finger-play, cunnilingus w/ MMF but no intercourse and little else. Then, with about 1.5 hrs left, intercourse occurred between Simone & Heath twice, but spread out near the end. There was a lot of reference to cock; a lot. Reference to other body parts was rare; c*nt was used once.
The narrator was great with everything except Heath's laugh. That would've been best left out and just read. And the fae myths were good also. But it was strange that their enemies were the most willing to share info and very talkative. Finally I loved the diversity in the story and the image of a woman being "outstanding" who didn't fit the common stereotypes of what a beautiful and desirable woman looks like, especially in western societies.

naughty fairies

there is some very naughty fairies in this book! wow hot. the explicit adult content aside I really like this story. there is humor, danger, and some interesting curses at work here. the only thought I had when it stopped was "what it's over? noooooo!" there is violence. I absolutely need to get the next book lol

too much missing for me.

This book seems so unfinished to me. There are too many unanswered questions. The narrator was great. I just don't like how in the next book it's supposed to be the next 2 characters story when this story isn't done.
