Publisher's summary

A divorce decree is made null and void by murder.

Stacie Maroni, HR specialist and trauma counselor, isn't prepared for the murder of her estranged husband. His death and custody of their Maltese, Jasper, barely sink in and someone is after her. Her in-laws and her husband’s law firm strive to keep up the pretense that all is above reproach and idyllic.

As she goes through her husband’s effects, Stacie discovers possible motives for his murder. Unfortunately, neither she nor the police know why someone is after her. Whatever the true motive may be, it soon becomes clear that Stacie might be the next victim.

Can she sort it out with Jasper by her side? Mystery with a side of romance and new beginnings.

Cozy Mystery!

This was my first Christa Nardi’s book, and won’t be my last. This is the first book in the Stacie Maroni Mystery Series. This is a great cozy mystery, fast paced, with interesting characters and a well crafted plot. The storyline has mystery, and twists and turns. Naomi Rose-Mock did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Can’t wait for the second book. Best narration I’ve heard in a long time. The ending took me totally by surprise.

Fantastic Mystery, I Loved It!!!

When an estranged spouse meets an untimely end, who is the prime suspect? Yep, the soon to be ex! That’s the position Stacie finds herself in when her cheating, soon to be former, husband turns up colder than yesterday’s omelette! Prestige, Privilege & Murder is a dynamic, delightful, fast moving mystery that can be enjoyed with or without headphones, alone or with a roomful of your mystery loving besties! Written with heaping handfuls of humor, action and intrigue, the plot is not only interesting, it’s engaging, timeless and throughly enjoyable! The characters are fantastic! Beautifully drawn, realistic, fully developed and like people we ALL know, some nice, some not, and some downright despicable! The narration is fabulous and truly allows the story and characters to come alive! I throughly enjoyed every moment. Oh and did I guess the real culprit? Nope. I had MY suspects, but alas, I won’t be quitting MY day job! I leave the detecting to Christa Nardi, who does it SO well! Five fabulous stars!

Great Fast Paced Mystery

Loved it! I do not regularly read many mysteries, but I may start! This mystery of a soon to be divorced lawyer whose husband is murdered is a fast read with a well crafted plot awash with crooked lawyers and multiple suspects.

Enjoyable Cozy

Prestige, Privilege and Murder is Book 1 in A Stacie Maroni Mystery by Christa Nardi. Stacie and her husband, Ted, are divorcing and fighting over their dog, Jasper. When Ted turns up murdered, Stacie is the top suspect. I felt this story gave me a strong foundation for the new series. I thought the characters were well written and believable. Prestige, Privilege and Murder was interesting from beginning to end. I am looking forward to listening book 2, Foundations, Funny Business and Murder. Naomi rose knock dies a nice performance II n narration.

4/5 cozyish

Summary:
Stacie Maroni’s bitter divorce proceedings come to a screeching halt when her soon-to-be-ex winds up dead.

Additional Comments:
• Jasper is a lovely name for a Maltese.
• 4/5 Performance – well handled; narrator fit the MC nicely
• 4/5 Plot and conclusion – There seems to be enough action to sustain the mystery. Everything isn’t always as spiffy as it seems, and that’s kind of refreshing.
• I like that Stacie’s job has some relevance here. It’s a little ironic.
• 4/5 Stacie is well off, but she doesn’t come from money. Therefore, she doesn’t bleed a sense of privilege. She’s not quite down-to-earth, but she’s also got a nice sense of normalcy about her that makes her likable.
• The romance angle seemed a hair forced, but the cop’s a nice enough guy.
• Title fits the story well.

Conclusion:
Nice, very short mystery.
*I received a free copy of the audiobook. I have chosen to review it. All thoughts are my own.

Prestige Privilege and Murder

This was a fun cozy mystery! Stacie’s estranged husband is found murdered. They are suspicious it was Stacie who killed him. But when Stacie starts some investigating on her own, she finds out there was a lot going on his life that she didn’t know about. And there is more than one person who could have had a motive to kill him. I really enjoyed the characters. I liked the tone of the story and the interesting situations Stacie gets herself into.
