View childbirth in a godly way

I knew I would love this book from the title. The connection between the title, what the book is about and having a perspective of eternity even when going through a very earthly thing like pregnancy is not missed on me. One of the things I appreciate most about this book is that it is honest and realistic about the challenges of childbirth. The author doesn't sugarcoat the pain or the hard work, but she also emphasizes the beauty and power of the experience. She encourages readers to embrace their bodies and trust in their ability to give birth naturally. You can grow spiritually during pregnancy. This book shows you how.

Good listen even though my kiddos are older!

Overall, I thought this book was really well written and offered a lot of great information. Each chapter offered essential information, covering everything from choosing practitioners to pain management techniques. The inclusion of biblical verses is not my cup of tea, but I can definitely see how and why it could be comforting for mothers.
As a mother who struggled through difficult deliveries, I appreciate the importance of education and preparation. This book fills a crucial gap in childbirth literature, dispelling media-driven fear and promoting a holistic approach to childbirth. This guide is a beautiful combination of taking a holistic approach to childbirth and adding in devotions to ensure that you are as prepared as you can be for your little one coming. Childbirth can be such a hard and scary time but being prepared can take some of the edge off so that you feel you have more control. The guidance provided throughout the book is spot on with what I was looking for such as how to find the right doula, where to set up, what works best, and what to be cautious of. The author provides both the pros and cons of natural childbirth so that you can make a decision that works best for you and your upcoming birth.

Adding in the spiritual side to the book really makes this an amazing book. Taking the devotional route really shows that the author is trying their best to empower the soon-to-be mom for a big moment in their life.
