Publisher's Summary

Shannon Ansell didn’t mean to make a bet with Brian Knox. It sort of just happened. Now, she’s agreed to date him for six weeks, the one man she knows she shouldn’t. Six dates in six weeks. She can do that and still keep her heart intact, right? Wrong. Because the only thing she can’t resist more than a good bet is Brian Knox.

Wanna bet?

Ohh this was a fun book to read. I chucked so much with Brian. That man is something else. This book all starts off with a bet. That bet is spectacular!!
I love visiting Keating Hollows and catching up with the gang as well. This book gave me anxiety and was suspenseful for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The narrator is fabulous and does a great job narrating the book. I highly recommend picking up both ebook and audiobook.

Who will win the bet? You gotta read to find out!! Trust me, you will want to know who won the bet.

Power of the Witch by Deanna Chase

Amazing!!!!

Absolutley loved the drama in this one, it gave the story an amazing twist from the rest. Once again Deanna Chase did not dissapoint, providing a book full of feelings, suspense and anxiety, while still proving that no matter the drama in ones life, you should never give up on love neither should you give up on anything in your life whether you are a celebrity or not, do not let anything stand in your way of obtaining your goals. Gabra Zackman once again did an amazing read, getting the voices on point and relaying all those amazing feelings. I would definatley reccoment this to everyone.

Power of the Witch

Great narration and story. The series just keeps getting better.

How had Shannon let herself be talked into the bet with the man she least wanted to date--after their last meeting--but that's another story. Now six dates. Six weeks or pay up and we aren't talking money.

They begin and are good together or they would be if others didn't interfere. Her little brother has his own problems. Not to mention the daughter of his father's business partner. Just when things seem to be getting good between them something interferes. Will they believe what they hear? What else will step into their relationship?

Another good story about the citizens of a magic small town filled with witches and powers they use every day as a normal part of their lives. I love the characters, the world-building, and revisiting those friends we've made in stories past.

These two are meant for each other if those who want to control their lives step back and let them. Are they strong enough to take control and believe in each other? Sit back. Put your magic wand down. Sit back and listen. Enjoy. I did.

Disappointing After Last Volume

I will be upfront that the last volume in the series was my favorite to date and it would have been hard to beat but this one was a let down. I know that part of this is because I don't find the whole Hollywood struggle remotely interesting, especially as a crux for the tension driving the book. This was also why in the Premonition Pointe Series 'Witching for Joy' which also focused on Hollywood troubles is by far my least favorite volume. Topics in the last stories concerning addiction, relationships struggles, abandonment, abuse, and difficulty getting over the past are issues that are much more engaging for me as an audience. Sure there are family struggles here but they are over matters of celebrity status and gossip columns. The entire middle section of the story was a bit of a slog, though I was satisfied with the ending--it is a whiplash of a okay everything is happy now all problems solved scenario which feels somewhat forced and left me scratching my head as to why this avenue wasn't explored much earlier. The misunderstandings that create conflict in the characters also caused a bit of an eye roll, clearly having direct conversations with the person you are involved with is too complicated. I was also very thrown off by how Brian was written in this story as an uncommitted serial dater and irreverent flirt. I thought for sometime this was perhaps a different Brian than had been presented as a dedicated and serious friend and caretaker in the prior books but no. I love the character Shannon and was eager to see her story with Brian unfold but even from how they started their connection it felt off and I never found myself really excited for them and the focus was entirely on their struggle and nothing to do with them building a partnership. There was also such a drop off of community connection and interaction with the other women of the town, and I mean almost none despite random run ins at local businesses. I am very excited to get to know about the new character Miranda who is introduced and is the lead of the next story, it is a funny set up and hopefully more laughs than this edition which I found greatly lacking in the normal humor I've come to expect from Keating Hollow. I was also surprised that the final chapter was a lead in to Deanna's other series Witches of Christmas Grove and the first volume 'A Witch for Mr. Holiday'. That series was one I listened to before starting the Keating Hollow so was interesting to get to see the bridge over to connect to the two towns. I am an avid fan of this series and already have book 8 downloaded but honestly this whole story could easily be skipped and summed up in a few paragraphs in one of the other books and I would not have been unhappy about it. Which makes me sad as Shannon always seemed like such a hilarious and fun character and none of that was really highlighted in the majority of this book.

Hollywood comes to Keating Hollow

Shannon and Brad both have history in Hollywood that has followed them to Keating Hollow. You will love how they maneuver through the twists and turns thrown at them. Gabra also does another fabulous job with the narration.

Wonderful addition to the series.

Every time I finish one of these books i don't believe that then next can be as good or better but each time I am wrong. Shannon's and Brian"s story covered so much more and I really wish Keatings Hollow was a real place, now I am looking forward to hear more about Christmas Grove. Deanna Chase has become one of my favourite authors.

Shannon's Turn

Shannon Ansel lives in the home her grandmother had gifted her father in Keating Hollow... far away from the glitz of Hollywood and the social life in LA. Brian Knox had escaped LA to take residence in Keating Hollow for much the same reason and to join his best friend, Jacob, and his daughter Skye. When Brian saw Shannon, he was dumb-struck by her beauty, wit, and straightforward demeanor. Shannon liked what she saw with Brian. One bad date, had her writing him off the potential "boyfriend" list.

Between Brian's crazy family friend, Shannon's crazy mother, and the request from her brother to become his agent, could these two ever leave southern California behind and give love a chance?

Another great story

I really enjoyed Shannon’s story, I had hoped she would get one when we met her at the beginning of the series. I loved the relationship between Shannon and her brother, it was fun and loving. Sibling goals. Their mother on the other hand made me want to slap some sense into her.
Brian and Shannon’s story had some up and downs and some seriously crazy parts but was a great read. I may have actually cackled with laughter during the part at the pool.
I am very excited to get another of Deanna’s bonks.

Power of a great listen

Book 7 in the series. Each story can be listened as a stand-alone. But you will understand the side character if you listen to the other ones. Deanna wrote a strong story like she did with the other in the series. Lots of levels and twits and turns . You saw Shannon in the first story. As a character Shannon has grown leaps and Bounds The story Centers around Shannon the heroine. Brian is the hero .

Both Shannon and Brian have been dancing around each other for a while. Brian makes a bet with Shannon to get some time with her. 6 dates in 6 weeks. After their first date , Silas throws a twist to Brian’s plan. Silas shows up in town , along with newsmen , and gossip rags. Silas is trying to evade his manager mother. Will Silas destroy Brian’s plans with Shannon .

Gabra Zackman Performance in this story is fantastic. Her voice is strong and steady.

Love Ketting Hollow and the whole gang

I love this small magical town romance. The fact we get to revisit characters from the earlier books, to see how their relationships progress. Shannon's story was wonderful and I loved how much Brian was devoted to making it work. Her little brother and Levi were cute also!
