The Best Love Story

Selena Montgomery is a master story teller! Her character development, story lines and incredible love stories keep you guessing and wondering if the love will last. I love the combination of action/spy novel and romance. She captures the African American culture and complexity and spins a tale of suspense that rivals all others. I cannot wait until the next chapter in the saga. I am ready for the new adventure.

A good read

AJ is an AI scientist. Damon is an art gallery owner turned King. They met at a wedding and had a moment but he left before anything could happen between them.
Then her cousin pulls her into a spy mission to help save Damon's new kingdom. When they encounter each other again, the sparks are still there.
These two have a constant tug of war. He doesn't want to pull her into his chaos. Then there is a trust issue. It takes them a minute to get it together. All the way to the very end.
I'm not a fan of AI so that part of the story was a miss for me. The suspense made up for it. I wanted to shake Damon because it seemed like he would not get his act together when it came to AJ's heart. All in all it was a good story.

AJ character

The story was not what I expected. Although it had hints of mystery, it was an ok love story. I enjoyed the reading and the descriptions.

Love Stacy. But this not as great as past novels

I love Stacy’s work. This was a bit repetitive and not as deep in character development as prior novels.

This was a fantastic book. it really takes your mind to another place. totally immersive.

Disappointed

When I saw the Abram’s name I thought it was a good mystery with lots of history lessons. Not a very wordy romance with a bit of intrigue. I’ll pay more attention to the summary next time.
