The latest sexy and suspenseful GhostWalker novel from the New York Times best-selling author of Spider Game.

When radical terrorists take hostages in Indonesia, Captain Ezekiel Fortunes is called to lead the rescue team. Part of a classified government experiment, Zeke is a super soldier with enhanced abilities. He can see better, run faster, disappear when necessary, and hunt the enemy along any terrain. There are those in the world willing to do anything for power like that. A formidable spy genetically engineered to hide in plain sight, Bellisia rarely meets a man who doesn't want to control her or kill her. But Zeke's different. His gaze, his touch, they awaken feelings inside her she never thought possible. He's the kind of man she could settle down with - if she can keep him alive.

Very good book, but where was Tom Stetstulte. I love Jim Frangione, but he's the voice of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.

Regardless, the story was great and well narrated.

just what I expected

It took me a while to convince myself to try this book. I've loved the series for quite a while, but the last few titles kind of put me off of it. I'm not a fan of the meek and mild woman who does whatever her caveman tells her to do, which is how the last couple of books went. This book was much better than the last two. The heroine is every bit as strong as the hero, and isn't a mindless drone doing what she's told. However, I didn't care for the narrator's voice for the heroine, as I felt he made her sound more meek, fragile, and delicate than she should be. I do think he did a good job with all the other characters, though.

I did feel like the ending was kind of abrupt, and, without giving too much away, we don't get to find out if two characters are saved from death. They say the treatments will be a huge risk, and that they are time sensitive. There's a huge build up of tension as the first one is being treated, but then they say they need a break before starting on the second person, and that's the last we hear of it. It never says if he survives or that they go back to treat the second person. I would have liked to have confirmation that they survived, and to have our hero accept them.

better than the last 2
