Publisher's summary

My sister found love with a dashing alien warrior, but I’m too practical for something like that to ever happen to me.

Right?

Now that Nadia is happily settled into her new life with Zatir, I’m not quite sure what to do with myself. I was the protective older sibling for so long, I’ve forgotten who I am besides that. I need to make my own life on this strange new planet. Need to figure out how I fit in here. So, when a natural disaster strikes a remote village on Kalix, I volunteer to go help with the rescue mission. I want to pay back a little of the debt I owe these fierce alien warriors. But, I didn’t know he would be coming too.

Vrale. The brawny Kalixian who always seems to get under my skin in a way that no one else can. He’s older than most of the other warriors, and there’s something about his quiet, stoic demeanor that draws me to him. He’s haunted by something from his past, although I don’t know what it is. And, even though he’s not looking for a mate any more than I am; sometimes fate has other plans.

Possessed is a full-length stand-alone sci-fi romance featuring hot alien gladiators with huge horns, a down-to-earth heroine who learns to let go, and a jaded warrior who gets a second chance at love. If you like hot aliens, sweeping adventure, and steamy romance, you’ll love this series. No cheating, no cliff-hanger, and a happily ever after guaranteed!

Love Second Time Around

Pain, it's a lost love gone forever, or is it. Fated mates are forever.

loved entire series

The book is great. Loved the series. I reread it often. This is the last book but it was left open with other resuces possible of other Terran women by the Kalixins.

Redundant

First prize for finding a way to say the same thing five different ways to build paragraphs. Female lead characters talk themselves into self doubt to create drama over imaged problems. They ask themselves question after question until each feels like a victim instead of asking the other what he or she wants to know. After proclaiming, “I’ll protect her! I’ll kill for her! I’ll die for her!”, at every emotional juncture, it gets old. Now, if a villain slaps the daylights out of one of the Kalixian’s mates and he immediately rips the guy’s arm off then tells him,” I protect her with my life, “ that would give new life to the series. Also, this would end the need for the mate question herself into a pity party about whether the guy likes her much. Just saying.

Expected a bit more from this last book

Presley Hall indicated this was the last book in the series and it is a shame it didn't finish better. It was an ok story, but a lot of the book is repeated introspection to the point that I think a full hour of it could've be cut out and it wouldn't have been missed.

I was also hoping to know about the babies (including the prince/princess), which would've been huge for their society and future. Enough time had passed in the Epilogue to allow for more details while still keeping the ending open for future crossovers.

It is a good enough story, but not a satisfying series ending in my opinion regardless of the characters happily ever after.

Boring

Too much talking about their feelings and not enough action. Male narration was very low and hard to hear. Female narration was ok.
