Sweet listen

Romance and adventure in this Christian book! The town busybody is widowed and her sister decides to come live with her... however, the sister is raising their niece (Hannah) so she is coming too. I truly felt sorry for Hannah as her 2 aunt's keep her well under their thumb. Along all the bumps in the road, the local minister notices Hannah and as problems continue to come their way, a beautiful romance evolves.

I thought the narrative was well done.

Sweet and Clean

I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who likes a good romance. The characters are wonderfully created and really fit the part they play in the story. I always like the way Ms. Hopkins skillfully works in the spiritual aspect of the story. No preaching, just the characters living out the principles of God's Word. The book is sweet and clean in every sense and I had a good time listening to it.

The narration did not sound like normal conversation in many of the parts Mr. Birk performed. It could have been better. Ms. Groberg was quite good.

I requested this audiobook from the narrator and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Love these stories!!

I totally love these stories! I ended up listening to this one while I took a long drive for a trip and listened the whole way. It was a great story! I did hate that some of the characters were killed off... I'll leave that at that so as not to give it away, but they were important characters! I loved how it ended too and am already listening to the next one!

A Captivating Story

Hannah is told by her aunt who took her in after her parent’s death that she must never marry but take care of her two aunts. Her low self-esteem causes her to accept this without question. But when she falls in love with the pastor who loves her too, will she find the courage to stand up to her aunts?

At the same time, a saloon with a brothel has opened in Cactus Creek bringing crime into their town. Can they close it legally or must they learn to co-exist in this small community? Perhaps it’s time to hire a sheriff.

So much happens in this story. I enjoyed the two main characters. I also enjoyed revisiting previous characters and seeing how they are doing.

This ongoing saga in the town of Cactus Creek is fascinating. Each book is a standalone, so you don’t need to have read the others to enjoy this one.

The series just get better!

Dan profit has been the pastor in Kactus Creek, ever since gray saved his life from the Apache. He has become a trusted friend and member of the community. When he finds out that the Olde bitty that runs the Mercantile has a widow sister and niece coming to live with her. He thinks he will have one more student in his classroom. Hanna came to live with her aunt Gladys when her parents died and although very thankful, she’s also lonely. The aunts decide she will be a spinster and not married so she can pay Gladys back for taking care of her. When the pastor finds out that Hannah is very skilled on the piano and has a beautiful singing voice, he convinces her to play on Sundays at church. The more time they spend together the closer they become. It’s hard for them to see each other, because Hannah is an allowed to be corded and it gets even more complicated when one of the aunts friends since her daughter to live with them and they decide to try and set her up with Pastor profit. Fortunately for Hannah Pastor Dan only has eyes for her. He never thought he would marry, let alone feel this way for anyone in his sights are set on her. There is so much more to the story besides Dan and Hannah story. Katie has been away at finishing school and is back in Logan is so excited, but unfortunately Katie brings a bow with her. She’s only 16 and mad about Willy and wants to marry him he starting a bank in cactus Creek and building her a lavish home. Feeling rejected Logan dances with the two aunts visitor Beatrice and thinks he is falling for her. Is it just a rebound or is Logan really falling for the superficial Beatrice or will he convince Kayde to leave Willy and be with him I love these books and this serious. I can’t get enough of Janice called Hopkins books. And have yet to read one that is less than five starworthy. I highly recommend this book in the whole cactus creek series. If you love historical romance you love best book and all the books in the collection. I know I do! Please forgive any grammatical errors, I am blind and can’t fix them while using screen reader, but all my opinions are my own and totally voluntary.

Excellent

Dan learned patience in this intriguing plot. Expecting a young girl, instead it was a shy woman, under the thumbs of her aunts, well done with the narrators. Given audio for my voluntary review
