This is another nice installment in the Brandy Alexander series. The judge is found dead shortly after receiving a distinguished award. Brandy is back on the job along with the regular secondary characters of her boyfriend, long-time friend and cop Dante, and other friends. The relationship with her boyfriend continues to develop as well. Narration wonderful as always--and brings the characters alive. I received a copy of the audiobook for free at my request and am leaving this review voluntarily.

When Brandy Alexander finds her judge friend dead shortly after he won Best Judge of the Year award she realizes his Schnauzer Justice is missing. She works with a schnauzer rescue so when Justice turns up tied to a fence at the animal shelter she brings him home. He has a fancy GPS that she traces and it shows them where he has been and ultimately who his murderer was, ultimately a surprise to all but Brandy.
So Brandy and Justice get justice, with some adventures along the way. I enjoyed this light mystery by Colleen Mooney.
