Publisher's Summary

Recently recruited and trained as a special agent by MI6, the British secret service, 14-year-old West Londoner Alex Rider is sent to infiltrate an ultra-private school where the rich and powerful send their uncontrollable, rebellious sons. What he discovers in the mountaintop fortress of the campus are enough armed guards to repel an invasion-and new classmates who have become eerie copies of each other in their compliant attitudes and actions. This fast-paced yarn delivers technological wizardry and James Bond-like action.

Actually Surprising

Right after i read the first book i found this one at a thrift shop. when i got home I listened to it on you tube it was kind've annoying but overall a good experience but the videos just stopped at chapter ten. I download it on Audible and it was a million times better on all fronts, the story had a twist i didn't expect, but in structure it's kinda the same as the first book.

Great adventure!

If you like action and adventure, this series is for you! Well written, great character development, and tons of action! Especially great for tween and teen boys, as the protagonist is 14 years old.

Great for Kids and Adults

This is so well written. It stands up still even after years have past and technology is better now. I like how the author makes it believable that these things are happening to a 14 year old boy.

Point Blank Alex Rider is awesome!

I have always loved spy books and Alex Rider was no exception! Specifically the way the story was told made it extra special because of the British accent. Great book for young teens, gripping and full of action! Five stars all around!👍🤩🤪

Plodding, Implausible, and It's a Children's Book

A boring book for children, with plot holes big enough to swallow a fleet of lorries. It starts with a preposterous act of petulant vandalism and goes down hill from there. The cardboard cutout characters are, well, cardboard thin and cardboard tasty. The 14-year-old protagonist's parents and adult guardian are dead, of course, and the living adult characters are the weak, mean, ugly ogres that maladjusted 14-year-olds believe all adults to be. The story line is so glaringly obvious that I felt like grabbing sunglasses even while listening. The book is classified as a mystery. The only mysteries are how such sodden, small-minded, depressing awfulness could come from the high talent pen of Anthony Horowitz, and why the brilliant Simon Prebble wasted his breath on such rubbish.

My family loved this story!

I am a homeschooling parent and part of our morning routine is to listen to audio books. Point Blank was full of interesting characters, lots of action, and even humour. Something for everyone! We strongly recommend this series to young and old alike.
