Publisher's summary

Run, he whispered in my ear. While you still can.

I walked into a club called Ruin and found it - and him - when he bent me over the piano he was playing.

I did as he said, but not until after he’d decimated me in the filthiest way possible.

I loved every second.

That one, and the ones that came years later. When he sang with me against his will, although the words burned and the scar tissue left him raw.

Nash has secrets, deadly ones, and he won’t let me in. He just gives me dirty little tastes of him that make me desperate for more.

To the world, I’m on top. The lead singer of a famous rock band.

With Nash, I don’t mind getting on my knees.

But someone is watching us. And our stalker isn’t content to stay on the sidelines any longer.

The curtain is about to rise. Win, lose...or die.

Author’s note: Play Dirty is a standalone enemies to lovers rock star romance. It ends in a happily ever after.

Play Dirty is book one in the Brooklyn Dawn rockstar series. Our other rockstar series are also set in the Oblivion world.

A PRETTY DAMN PERFECT ROCK ROMANCE

Way.. way back in 2015 I discovered the magic this talented writing duo could weave as they wowed me with their Rock God romances in their Lost.. and Found in Oblivion series and I devoured and loved each series. And, in the years since then, they’ve truly honed their writing skills to perfection because this lengthy and richly filled tale had layers upon layers.. angsty, raw, sexy, suspenseful, exciting, romantic, sigh-worthy, moving and dramatic layers. Nash and Lindsey pushed and pulled during their second chance.. Lindsey’s light cracked and crumbled Nash’s dark guilt-ridden walls.. secrets were revealed.. and forgiveness and redemption was found. But, as they clashed and climaxed and slowly fell in love.. evil was slithering in the wings.. watching, waiting and planning his strikes.

All the emotions were there.. earth-shattering climaxes.. drama, danger, betrayal, self-loathing, barbs, battles, olive branches, beautiful sentiments, sad stories, seismic sizzles, weighty feels, family, friends and love. It had a realistic flow and feel because Nash, Lindsey, the secondary cast of characters and all the intense feels were smoothly brought to life by the duet-style dual POV awesome narration of Kai and Wen who yet again blew me away with their talented voices.

Worth a credit? Picture the scene.. Madison Square Garden.. thousands of fans screaming for more more more.. a sea of cellphone lights.. banners of love.. and me in the front row screaming “I loved it” with a wide banner held high saying YES :)

Darkness and Light will Capture You

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. This is an offshoot of the Oblivion series and you will revisit some familiar characters. Although you don't have to listen to/read the Oblivion series before this series, you will want to know more about these characters. The authors have written an outstanding story with character and plot development that will completely envelop you. Nash is a man who is haunted by past mistakes and therefore no longer feels worthy of love. He is behind the scenes now in the music business. Lindsey is the lead singer of her band and this takes up most of her time. The authors have given them an instant chemistry and attraction but their romance will have to overcome some serious pitfalls. This story is fairly long but it flows so smoothly and is filled with so many twists and turns that it seems to be over way too quickly.

The narrators really put their hearts into this story. They expertly portray the emotions and personalities of these characters and thereby bring them to life. Kai Kennicott gives her female characters distinctive voices and her intonations are right on spot. I could feel Lindsey's despair, betrayal, passion, and love. Wen Ross also gives his male characters their distinctive voices. I love his sexy Irish accent. He makes you feel Nash's torturous feelings concerning his long time friend. I am a fan of these 2 narrators and I feel that this one of their best.

I highly recommend this Audible book. It is filled with action, angst, mystery, revenge, loyal friendships, misunderstandings, and most of all love

The start of another great series

Is there anything better than taryn Elliot anD cari Quinn rocker story. This one did not disappoint. One of the best things in these books is seeing other characters from other books of theirs and this did not disappoint. Lindsey and Nash are great together and you can’t help but root for them in good and bad times. I can’t wait for the next installment of Brooklyn dawn. Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross again makes the narration great.

Awesome🎧📚🎧 Captivating, Intense & Heartfelt!

This book is awesome, Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott hit it out of the park again with another amazing novel set in their “Oblivion” world, a world full of interesting characters most are in the music industry one way or another. This book is Lindsey & Nash’s story, Lindsey York is the lead singer of “Brooklyn Dawn”, a band that broke out into rock scene several years ago, they have a huge following and play big venues. They are signed to “Ripper Records, the same record label as Oblivion. Alexander Nash is a record producer, he writes music and plays piano. Lindsey and Nash have history together, in addition to a friend in common, Logan King, they had a “hot & intense” one night in a piano bar NYC where Nash was playing. Fast foward to current day, Nash is working with Logan on recording and producing a Christmas album, when one of their artists screw up they need a replacement and Logan calls Lindsey and she agrees to do it. She had not known that Nash was part of the project and she was not happy about it either. Logan picks up on the angst and puts the two together to work on the song and work out their angst. Nash has his issues and when his dark past comes back to haunt him and threatens all that he loves. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the back and forth, all the the drama and angst, the heartfelt moments, the mystery, thrilling and suspenseful moments that take you to the edge of your seat and the hot loving and romance. I adored both these characters, they were great together and for each other, she was the light to his darkness. Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott, thank you for another awesome book, you ladies rock!

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are talented narrators and voice artists. They do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life giving each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. Wen’s Alexander Nash was awesome, his Irish accent was melodic, Kai’s take on Lindsey was true perfection, she sounded as I pictured her to. Their duet performance captures the chemistry between the characters which enhances the story even more. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧
