A novel that feels like a surreal meditation on life in quarantine.

Mysterious and Contemplative

I thought this book was so beautiful. The beginning is strange, like a dream, but it evolves into something more grounded and interesting. If you aren’t sure about it at first, keep going. Loved the narration!

Easy to read

Easy to follow and very intriguing. I saw this recommended because I like the Backrooms. I love how the infinite house is so mysterious and how the main character is so logical and scientific.

Momentum builder

I will be honest that when I started listening to the book, I was a little lost. It took me a while to really get into it and understand what was happening. But once that momentum started building, I was enjoying listening to it. Overall, I think it was a great book. It had some unexpected turns for me and if you are like me and it starts a little slow for you and a little confusing give it a little bit of time you won’t regret it.

A Poem, Meditation and Story

I very much enjoyed this book. I moved beyond reading a book to experiencing something much quieter and simpler than our own world.

The narration was sublime. I didn’t realize it was Chiwetel Ejiofor until I had already listened to the book. I would watch anything he acted in and listen to anything he reads. His tone, pace and emphasis brought the characters and stories to life.

the formatting, characters, and setting were enthralling.

I wish there was more time spent developing the character of #16. I also felt that the it could have benefited with extending the realization of Piranesi. It felt rushed at certain points.
