Interesting story, fab narration

So Pine Lakes started a bit slow but developed pretty quickly. I’ll be honest and say I spent probably two-thirds of this story confused and the last third pretty flabbergasted and/or surprised. I couldn’t stop listening though and was surprised how quickly I finished the audiobooks. The storyline is quite different and I liked the characters even if they bugged me a smidge. I was left scratching my head in a few areas but that's why I gave it the 4 stars and not the full 5.

The narrator, Joe Hempel, is of course, one of my favorites. He’s always a delightful listen. He did get with Pine Lakes. There’s a lot of creepy, a lot of confusion. Hempel is one of my top favorite horror narrators.

I have had this book on my shelf for to long. It was so good. Looks like the others from this author are going toward the top of my tbr

Oh my word,what a book!I loved it!It reminded me of a Stephen King book. A couple heading for a holiday go off the road in my neck of the woods! Really! They encounter strange lights and stranger people while walking to find safety. Joe Hempel did a wonderful job narrating. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'
