I hate that it ended!!

This book is my favorite by Hubert L Mullins so far! I'm a fan anyway, but this book made me sad that it ended. This one has earned its place on my favorite reads list next to Joe Hill's "Heart Shaped Box", and The Barker and Llewelyn series by Will Thomas. It's fantastic!

Great Book!

David Hunsdale does an awesome job narrating this story. Another great book by Hubert L. Mullins!

amazing story!

Let me start by saying that I pretty much only read horror. The horror that I prefer is often times extremely dark and disturbing. This one was VERY tame compared to my usual. I went into it with an open mind and I'm so glad I was sent this book!

Sometimes I have a hard time listening to audio books. Especially if they are bad or the narrator is not clear spoken or has a heavy accent. I was instantly hooked from the get go on this one and was honestly a little sad when it was over.

The book has "spooky vibes" but isn't scary in my opinion. The story follows a Doctor who is sent to care for an old man that the town thinks is a monster and is responsible for multiple recent deaths in town. It has serious Frankenstein vibes. Very steampunk and vintage feel throughout.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I absolutely would. Easily one of the best audio books I've ever listened to. The narrator was crystal clear and the story was phenomenal. If you like Frankenstein, steampunk, gothic, stories I would highly recommend checking this one out!
