Publisher's Summary

It was the perfect solution - put highly connected Captain Willard Phule in charge of the worst dregs of the Space Force. Sure, Phule's Company may be a band of rejects and misfits, but they did manage to save the day with their unorthodox methods.

Embarrassed, the Space Force may have found the perfect equation for disaster: Assign Phule's pack of oddballs to save the Fat Chance Casino from a criminal take over. Phule's Company may stop the mob...but who will save the casino from them?

Another great job

Being a long time fan of Robert Asprin's works, I have waited a considerable time for an audiobook release of the Phule's Company books. I am glad that Noah Michael Levine was selected as the narrator, as his voice work during the Myth Adventures series was superb. This is a great addition to anyone's audible library.

Great fun, but a bit dated

I really enjoyed it, but there are a few parts to the story, which I won't spoil, that date the piece. There is some subtle sexism and racism. I don't see any of it as misogynistic or bigoted and just chalk it up to it being just an unpleasant aspect of the era in which it was written.

fun and we'll written, good character development.

Mr Aspirin has a wonderful way with character development and unlikely situations. I'm re-reading these works. they are just as entertaining and fun the second time around.

This is great humorous fantasy, and the narrator does a really good job with a whole host of character voices.

The Omega Mavericks Hit The Jackpot

honestly I think it's a wonderful book that starts out a little slow with a lot more Intrigue and set up then the first book had. after that it keeps a fast pace heading towards the end. the ending is a bit strange as well because it hits the point where you would think it would have normally. finished ,but it keeps going to a tad bit of story afterwards it's just strange. there's also a lot of characters and a lot of information about how casinos are run which is nice to know but still kind of weird.

Loved it, now I own all of the series.

I am a huge fan, I am only sorry to say that there are only six novels in the series, but I truly am happy to know that they exist. Again I rate them up there with "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "The Stainless Steel Rat" series. Even if you haven't read or listened to the first one, it is not necessary to enjoy this one, but if you love it, then you won't be disappointed with the first one. And like me, you will want the whole series.

Another Hit

Another great book in the series, I only want it to be longer. Phule's company does it again only this time it's more detailed operation. There's more new characters and old ones coming together and becoming a big family. I eagerly await the next book.

Next!

Thoroughly enjoyed this too. My only issue with performance was one pronunciation which differed to my interpretation. Certainly nothing that should put anyone off getting this. please keep them coming as I can't wait for the next one again.
