Not only have I read Phantastes but listening to it was delightful. I dare say this book changed my literary life! Great read for all but definitely would recommend this to a mom of a young man who is heading into 16-17 as a living book into manhood.

A must

I really enjoyed the travels of the main character as he ventured through Fairyland. Definitely written for adults as temptations and character building hardships are thrown his way.

Fantastic Phantastes!

I haven't read or listen to poetry for many many years. it was at times difficult to follow or even stay focused on. It was however a delightful story of fantasy and a true story of dreams and fairy delight.
I chose to read it because I had read that it was read by and influenced C.S. Lewis.

Beautifully written. Challenging in historical context. Important in understanding Tolkien and Lewis and how they developed.
