Publisher's summary

Several months ago, Thorne hired Riley as an escort. They fell hard for each other and ultimately made their relationship personal rather than professional. Every moment they spend in bed is pure bliss, but good sex can't solve all their problems as they struggle to make things work between them. Thorne convinces Riley to move in with him, but their differences in age and income weigh more heavily on Riley once they share a home.

If that weren't enough, culinary school is turning out to be a disappointment for Riley rather than a dream come true, and he's considering the daunting prospect of starting his own business.

Thorne wants to swoop in and fix everything, but Riley keeps refusing Thorne's money or advice, feeling like he's losing control over his own life.

Thorne and Riley will have to rely on their love for each other to help them find the balance between independence and entanglement.

Learning to live together.

What did you love best about Personal Entanglement?

The way that no matter what the challenges were, neither Thorn or Dash was willing to give up or walk away. Even if there was a break down in communication a couple of times, they pushed through.

What other book might you compare Personal Entanglement to and why?

The Arrangement by Felice Stevens. I think there are similarities in the characters and the way the stories are written.

What about Greg Boudreaux’s performance did you like?

Every-damn-thing!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both actually. There were an intense few minutes in the last couple of chapters that got me a little teary eyed. But sometimes, these two really make me laugh.

Any additional comments?

Fantastic addition to the series. I liked that the Author put up road blocks and obstacles that Thorn and Dash had to work past to make their relationship stronger. The passion is there, has been since day one, they have to work on communication and give and take. Dash doesn't want to take anything from Thorn, he feels it be like Thorn was buying his love. Thorn just wants to take care of Dash and though he does rash and/or foolish things sometimes, his heart is in the right place.

Boudreaux's performance was boisterous, electric and sensual, as usual. He truly brings the characters to life and not just with words and syntax... he puts real emotion into the words and makes the reader feel what the characters are feeling. He needs to hurry the hell up and get book 3 done so I can listen!

Thrilled

I wasn’t as thrilled as I have, with other stories, and the narrator, to me, wasn’t at all very appealing either….

Hot May/December story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. Its interesting, sexy and kept me listening.

What did you like best about this story?

how the relationship seems so real and grows.

Have you listened to any of Greg Boudreaux’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes and i love them all.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't have any extreme reaction but I didn't want to quit listening.

Any additional comments?

Personal Entanglement is book two in the Thorne and Dash series. It picks up where the first book left off. We get to watch as their relationship grows and becomes so much more. A lot goes on as Riley deals with letting Thorne buy him things and do things for him. He still struggles with the difference in their financial status.
If you like May December romance, difference in class, businessmen, pastry chefs, and some very hot mansex you will love this series. It is best to read ( or listen) in order.

Nice sequel, but not as good as the first book

This is the sequel to Professional Distance. It must be read in order, therefore, I’m assuming you have ☺

In the end of book one, Riley and Thorne had admitted their love for one another and a desire to see one another as boyfriends, and that Riley would give up his escort business. Book 2 finds them deciding to live together and facing a world as “equals”.

What I loved about this was how “real” a lot of their squabbles felt. Neither man had experience with a permanent relationship, and they were in very different places in their lives. It’d be strange if they didn’t run into stumbling blocks now and again. But… instead of ignoring them, for the most part they talked them out (though they did tend to resort to the physical a lot of the time, too.)
I also loved how Riley finally convinces Thorne to learn to back after Thorne teaches him about sailing. It was symbolic of opening themselves up to new experiences and trusting the other to guide them.

Granted, this is acknowledgedly erotica, but – to me – there is a LOT of sensuality in this and after awhile I began skimming. It was just overwhelming. I’m also not a big fan of the BDSM type stuff – not the tying up and control stuff – but the spanking and the whip… that was a bit much for me. So… in the end, I liked this a lot and really enjoyed seeing where our guys are headed and am definitely looking forward to book 3 – but I’m not as crazy about it as I was book 1.

Audio

I’d had the book on my kindle for awhile and kept meaning to get to it, but I was really glad I’d waited and experienced this as an audiobook. Greg did another fantastic job and really helped to make this feel even more “real” with his amazing narration.

Very good,

The book is amazing. I'd listen to it while doing some boring task at work and not only would it make the task bearable, but the time would fly by. My only hang up is that the performer female voices sounded the same and like drag queens. lol. Not that big a hangup but it did make it a bit more difficult to stay as drawn Into the story as I'd have liked.

Consider this an extended epilogue...

Consider this an extended epilogue to the first book.Greg did an amazing job as always and the story was good but don't come into it expecting new twists or turns. It reads like an epilogue to the first, which is good as there was so much more I wanted to see from these two and their new relationship. I loved the domesticity and the getting used to being a couple rather than two very headstrong independent men. It was everything I'd hoped for to finish off the first story. And did I say Greg was amazing? Yes. He hits the nail on the head as always.
