Good basic information

Good basic information on perennials. I liked the detail for each plant that was given. Covers grasses and shrubs too!

I really needed a book like this

I really needed a book like this. I love to have flowers all around but I don't have a green thumb and I need help! I don't want to keep killing my plants and flowers. This book is full of useful information for growing and bulbing your flowers.

This audible helps me a lot

I am working on improving my green thumb and know quite a bit about annual plants, but do not know much about perennial gardening. I didn’t know that there were so many different kinds of perennial plants. This audible helps me a lot.

There are perennials for vegetables, flowers, grasses, shrubs, foliage, bulbs, herbs, fruits, and berries, etc. For all of these, the author did a great job addressing what they are and how to plant them. Amazing.

Very practical

As a sometimes trial-and-error gardener I must confess I often choose the plant based on the bloom and have introduced several demanding species into my garden space. I listen to this audible to choose plants for a new area in our yard. It helped me to choose for sun or shade, color, and size to fit my space. It was informative and helpful. I changed some of my original choices because of the info in this book.

I’m new to gardening, so this book was just what I was looking for! It covered a great variety of plants from vegetables to herbs, plus many more! Hollister goes over the information needed to plant your perennials, as well as how to keep them happy and healthy

An overall great purchase!

This book was a great purchase for me, and I was particularly interested in the sections on vegetables, fruits, berries, and herbs. Growing your own food saves money at the store and is also healthier for you. These sections also have great information on the types of soil you need to have for each plant how much sun or water they need etc. An overall great purchase!

This excellent book continues to provide hours of learning and enjoyment as I thumb through and highlight selections I need to remember. My wife has inserted numerous bookmarks for plants she would like to add to our garden.
